About this property

The house can sleep 10 people and has large open-plan living space & al-fresco area with table tennis table. Your family or guests can walk to back-beach, front-beach, restaurants & golf clubs & shops when you stay at this centrally located beach house in Old-Torquay. The beach house has a lovely north-facing aspect, so plenty of sun even in winter. With four bedrooms and two bathrooms, combined with the indoor and outdoor living areas, there is room to spread out, light a fire, cook on the BBQ, relax and read, or walk the clifftop trial to Bells Beach and beyond and importantly enjoy the surf beaches & restaurants. Large Kitchen with Miele appliances, plenty of space & cutlery to whip up a banquet for family and friends. We love the open airy spaces, the large back and front garden and trees.

We love our beach shack and actually take pleasure in others enjoying it as well. Close to beaches in old Torquay, just park the car and walk to restaurants, pub as well as the front and back beach. Or relax at home, lit the fire or put on the BBQ.

Why they chose this property

We always wanted to have a house in Torquay, where we could walk to the beach for a swim or surf the local breaks. Finally, we were lucky enough to find a perfect block with an old house we completely renovated & extended. The area has many things to see and do. Ride or walk along the cliff top trials or take surf lesson from the pro's at 'Go Ride a Wave' 300 meters away in Bell Street, visit the Torquay Pub (300 meters away) or various restaurants on the Esplanade, Bell or Gilbert Street. Play Golf at the RACV or The Sands golf clubs.

What makes this property unique

We have kept the front 'beach shack section' of the original house, which gives it the beach vibe. This is rare nowadays as most old beach houses are demolished and a completely new build replaces them. Our beach shack has been freshly renovated and extended to 4 bedrooms, two living areas and a large al-fresco area at the rear over-looking the backyard. Perfect for leisure and able to house a large family or two smaller families.
