Our stay was outstanding. The home was welcoming and in perfect shape. The kitchen was a standout and there were great views of Torch Lake. The property and lake front were great for our family. The first few feet of Torch is always rocky, and it opened up at end of the dock for perfect swimming. We couldn’t pull the kids out of the lake. Also being so close to Bellaire was great for grocery runs and hanging at Shorts brewery. Would highly recommed.
Beautiful home on a central Torch Lake location. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Close to Dockside and Butch's for daily boat or jetski rentals. Sunsets were awesome from the big back porch. Manager communicated well.
Review of Torch Lake Waterfront Home in Bellaire, MI
This home is beautiful and amazing !!!
It is as neat, clean, and organized as possible. It has practically everything anyone would ever need for an extended stay ( dishes, bowels, utensils, glassware, towels, linins, etc … ). And everything in this house is the high-end, very expensive high-quality brands ( i.e. dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, cook-top range, oven, etc … ).
The floorplan is very open and inviting. The outside back patio overlooking Torch Lake is covered and well equipped with a table and lots of comfortable seating for guests. This patio is an amazing place to sit, relax, and enjoy the beauty of Torch Lake.
There are a variety of bedrooms configurations sufficient enough to fit most group’s needs. All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. If guests have small children, the bunk room ( sleeps 4 children ) is amazing and can be a fun hide-a-away adventure for the kids.
This home’s location is on the East side of Torch Lake, which means an amazing view of the sun setting in the evening ( assuming clear skies of course ).
This home is located about in the middle of the 19 mile long Torch Lake, so it is a relatively easy boat ride to both the well-known Sand Bar on the South side and all the way to the North side of the lake.
This home’s location also allows for a very easy and short drive due East into Bellaire where most anything any guest would need can be found ( groceries, restaurants like the well-known Short's Brewing Company, and gas stations ).
Lovely property on the lake. Everything was as described. Liz (host) was very responsive to questions and had great advice for a boat rental and dining options. Would recommend to anyone looking for a Torch Lake stay.
This property was wonderful and is situated in a perfect spot on the lake! The floor plan worked perfectly for our family of six-4 being teenagers. I filled our SUV and overpacked and did not need anything that I brought from kitchen supplies to extra pillows; they had everything! Also, quality beach towels that we did not use, but would. Just wanted to note these things as they are rare finds in rentals anymore. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive as well. As long time Torch Lakers who needed extra space, we are thankful for the opportunity to rent this home.
The house is beautiful, a perfect location and just what we were looking for!
We really enjoyed staying in your home. The location is awesome with the most beautiful views off of the back porch. The home was perfect for our extended family. I really appreciated the binoculars and used them for hours on end day and night!
We live in Kentucky but have parents on torch and we’re able to visit with them while the older kids and couples had our own space!
The home was immaculate and we tried to make sure it was left that way.
We hope to rent your home again next summer!
BTW I noticed the Jackson hole and skiing books, we have a B&B in Jackson and a home we rent in Steamboat if you would ever be interested in swapping time!
Thank you!
Everything was absolutely fabulous. The house was gorgeous, clean and had everything we needed. The sunsets were breathtaking and we enjoyed the kayaks. We can’t wait to return.
Really enjoyed our time at this beautiful newer home on Torch Lake. The sunsets were fantastic from the deck and everyone enjoyed the kitchen and living space. Highly recommend!
Awesome sunsets, kids loved the bunk beds, rented boats from docksiders pontoons were new and able to leave them there in the evening. House is very special home, built with detail and very clean. The location is awesome with great views up and down the lake and close to downtown Bellaire..
We spent one week at this home in July and it was a great experience. 1. Liz was an excellent communicator. We exchanged a dozen notes prior to our arrival and while we were there. 2. The location was amazing. Right on the lake with a beautiful back patio, yard, and boat dock for admiring Torch Lake. 3. The house itself felt brand new - everything worked perfectly and the house was beautifully decorated. I'd highly recommend this home and we plan to return next year!
The house is roomy and beautiful, and very well decorated and furnished. We especially appreciated the large table next to the kitchen which seated 10, plus the bar seats for youngsters when they wished. There is a beautiful view of the lake and the sunsets, and during this visit, the Neowise comet at about 11 pm nightly. We've stayed in four vacation rentals altogether at Torch lake over five years, while my daughters and grand-daughter competed at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival. The whole family liked this house the best. One thing we noted that it lacked was a moor for keeping a boat temporarily offshore. That didn't matter too much because my son-in-law brought his boat and we rented a slip at DeWitt Marina. This was the first time we stayed near the Clam river. We appreciated the relative calm of Clam lake when swimming and when the younger folks were Wake Boarding (some for the first time). The owner was quite attentive by email and text, making sure everything went well, which it did.
This property was so amazing. We had the greatest time. Liz has everything available for you to feel like you were in a home away from home. We like to cook a lot and had everything available to us to do so. We would highly recommend this property in sun or snow!
Gorgeous property with impeccable finishings and lots of extras. Kids loved the bunk room and we all loved the open windows and lake breeze. The porch and yard were perfect as was the large dining table. The garage full of water toys was an extra special treat and we loved the firebox with a fire almost every night! Had a great experience renting a boat for a few days from Butch’s Marina- don’t forget to take a broasted chicken with you!! Quick drive to Bellaire for a lunch at Shorts + ice cream and candy shop. We deliberately did NOT seek out lots of activities and still our week on Torch went way too fast!!
This spotless new home on Torch Lake was perfect for our family get away with 9 extended family members ranging in age from 14 to 80. The view is wonderful with gorgeous sunsets over the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need in addition to the high-end appliances. This property is not a typical "cottage" property. It is a beautifully designed and decorated high-end house. We spent a lot of time out on the deck, which is like an outdoor living room. We enjoyed playing catch in the backyard, and sat around the outdoor fire and star gazed in the evening. The location is ideal as it is situated not far off of Bellaire Hwy, 5 minutes away from downtown Bellaire and in the middle of Torch Lake. We rented a pontoon boat from Dewitt Marine (8 minutes away via car, 10 to 15 minutes via boat). The water can get rough on Torch lake, and Dewitt lets you dock there during the day or overnight, that convenience coupled with its close proximity to the property made it a good option for our boat rental. We boated around all of Torch Lake, went into Lake Bellaire via Clam Lake and the Grass River. We also boated into Elk Lake via Torch River and Lake Skegemog. This is an ideal property for a visit to Torch Lake.
The 5 star ratings say it all. What a wonderful place! The entire experience was first class, and getting back to Torch Lake for the first time in decades was surreal. Thanks to Liz!

The covered patio overlooking the lake is everything I designed it to be and more. It's where we live when we are up north.
