The cabin was so cute and very clean! We loved the layout with the master upstairs and game room/tv downstairs. The back porch and yard is gorgeous! The kitchen has everything you need for making meals. And Stacey was an awesome and responsive host! Would love to stay again some time!

Nice peaceful neighborhood, fun backyard with lots of games like horseshoes and cornhole. Great spot for a small family gathering. Very comfortable and nice "being at home vibe" kinda place.

Thank you for the great review!! I am glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you’ll be back again to enjoy in the future 😊
Yard was great for the pups, the house was nice and clean. The beds were uncomfortable and there was no A/C and it got hot in the upstairs bedroom and we couldn't sleep.

Thanks for your review and staying at the cabin. Correct the cabin does not have A/C- it isn't advertised to have A/C...
I do recommend guests to always close up the windows from sunrise to sunset to keep the home cool...It keeps the temps down in the house:)
Hope you enjoyed your stay besides the weather
Our family enjoyed the stay, the home has plenty of room. We enjoyed the decks and the yard for the dogs. The host was quick to respond and even with a few glitches involving technology, she was prompt to respond and was helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Thanks for staying. Please come back and see us again in the winter.
Had a wonderful time and this home was very well set up. Slept comfortably and really enjoyed the huge back yard! It was far enough off the main road for the woodsy feel but just a few minutes away from any needed stores and such. Highly recommend!!!!!!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Will definitely return for another stay.
The property was very clean and offered more than what we expected. The cabin was very spacious and had everything we could ask for and then some. The backyard was private and we enjoyed grilling out while the squirrels played in the trees. The cabin is in a perfect location and we will definitely be booking another stay in the fall months. Thank you for opening up your home to us .

It was very cozy and inviting. The back yard was nice and big for the kids to play in. There was access to misc items if needed. The host was very easy to get in touch with and promptly addressed any questions I had. It was very conveniently located to grocery stores and restaurants.
Also not far from the slopes and sledding. This was perfect for my family of 10.

Thank you Vicky_ I am so glad you guys enjoyed the cabin and had a great time! Take care and I hope to see you back soon!
Ran up to the mountains after some fresh snow fell earlier in the week with the family to celebrate the wife’s birthday.
House was very clean and yard was great for our kids and our Labrador. They all played in the snow and had a great time. Cabin is right in the heart of Pinetop-Lakeside and walking distance to Pinetop Brewery.
Ping pong table and pool table (and a dart board) helped keep everyone having fun.
Stacey was very quick to respond to all inquiries. Would definitely come back.

Great house for our needs. Love having a dog friendly place with big yard. But not real comfortable during hot summer days. With no AC, It's very difficult to keep the house at a comfortable temp. The house had several fans that we used. Weather was just too hot for fans to be effective! Perfect place for late fall winter or early spring.

Glad you enjoyed the fenced yard and the cabin. I’m sorry the house was warm. The week you stayed was record above average temperatures for the area so I’m sure it did get warmer than normal inside. There are a lot of cabins in the white mountains without A/C. We find if we open windows in the evenings and run the fans, that normally helps a lot for the average summer days.
I was sad that my daughter couldn't join us, but had girlfriends stay. The house was the perfect size, loved the Master bedroom and Game room.
The mini-blinds on the back door had a few slats broken. One of the rocking chairs on the porch is not safe. Falling apart. The bathtub on the main floor needs work. Badly stained.
This cabin was a great choice for our party of 7. There’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking necessities. The backyard was large but unkempt (we couldn’t use the horseshoe pits or the hammocks due to the length of the grass/weeds). the game room was a nice surprise, having the pool table, ping pong table, and some toys for the kids was awesome! However, the carpet probably needs replacing, or a deep cleaning, as it did have a very musty smell. I would recommend this cabin to anyone traveling with kids or pets. It was walking distance to the movie theater and an ice cream shop, and a very short drive to a grocery store and some restaurants

We appreciate your feedback and happy that we could provide a great stay. We will be traveling to the property this weekend to address the items mentioned. We'd like to invite you to come back and try us again at a later date so we can exceed your expectations.
THE COZY CABIN WAS COMFORTABLE. ITS COULD USE A LITTLE TLC. THE BACK WOOD PATIO MANY OF THE FLOOR NAILS ARE RAISED UP AND MAY CAUSE SOMEONE TO FALL. A LITTLE TRE TRIMMING AND WEED PULLING WOULD HELP THE APPEARANCE. I PERSONALLY PULLED MANY WEEDS OUT IN THE FRONT DRIVEWAY. THE DRYER COULD USE SOME MAINTANCE, THE TEMP GAGE DOESNOT HOLD THE CORRECT TEMPERATURE, YOU MUST SET TEMP GAGE SEVERAL TIMES IN ORDER TO GET THE CLOTHS DRY. I ENJOYED MYSELF VERY MUCH.

Hi Jim, Thank you so much for the feedback and I am so happy you enjoyed your time at the cabin. I did have the landscaping done prior to your stay and would have loved feedback during your stay so I could have addressed any concerns you had including how to run the dryer. I will make it more clear for my longer rentals in the future! I look forward to having you stay again in the future.
The house is large and well laid out. We had everything we needed and we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The game room in the “basement” was a selling point for us and we had fun family games nights down there. The equipment could use some attention/repairs. We were cold a lot for the first day until the heat got going. The heat doesn’t fill the whole house well. We had all the space heaters going and fire in the evening. I had the wherewithal to bring a heated blanket and we used it constantly. We were there in March. The bed in the primary room was comfortable and I slept well. The kitchen had everything I needed. I like how close it is located to the supermarket, but I wish I knew that it was on a neighborhood street and not the cabin in the woods that I was hoping for. But the neighborhood was quiet and overall we had a lovely time.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The house had no central air conditioning so the upstairs was often too hot to sleep. The house smelled stale as did the beds, pillows, linens. The furniture was well worn and the game room was dark, carpet needed cleaning. The front door wouldn’t lock so I had to buy batteries and fix it. The appliances in the cupboards were old and dirty. The refrigerator had no holders in the door which decreased the storage room in the fridge. The ice maker was broken and one burner looked damaged. The dryer took at least 5 cycles to dry towels. The chairs on the back deck were a joke and the outside of the house needed junk cleaned up and the front deck had no use due to poor street appeal and no gardening. The yard in the pictures looked green but was dirt. The towel hanger in the master was off the wall. The bathtubs needed to be replaced. The saving grace for this house was the location and the fenced yard.

Hi Vicki. The house does not advertise AC but had you reached out I would have helped you with some tips for keeping the house cooler.
The only time I heard from you was the note below “ Hi, love the house. The upstairs fan quit working and the towel bar in masts is coming off the wall. Could you address these issues? thanks. Vicki”
To which I promptly dispersed my handyman to fix the issues
The dryer does work on the correct cycle, but I didn’t get asked that question. I was not aware the batteries were low in the door as that could have been addressed as well
My carpet was not stained downstairs prior to your arrival - has now been spot cleaned from your stay.
You also stayed an extra night until my cleaners came the following morning and had to kick you off the property.
This was our final family vacation with all of my kids before they move on after high-school graduation. It was also my birthday weekend, we spent lots of time in their game room playing pool, pingpong, cards, darts, monopoly, and even karaoke! (I brought our karaoke). Pet friendly, big backyard, quiet neighborhood 5 minutes away from Safeway and all the other restaurants for when we weren't adventuring, made this place on our top 5! No ac, so check the weather in the summer before you book! We bought some box fans and ran those at 7 pm until 9 am, kept the spacious cabin on a 90 plus day around 82 first 2 days after that, the cabin stayed around 75-77 just with the fans at night and closing it up around 10 am. We did keep the small windows open in the kitchen and both bathrooms to allow air flow and that also helped keep it cool. They have plenty of activities like cornhole and a horseshoe pit for evening outside activities, if you're not up in the forest on trails, rivers, or the lakes! Excellent communication when we had a minor issue. Left real seasonings, cooking oil and canned goods for the next family. Enjoy your stay and detach from the hustle n bustle of life, this is the perfect place to do it!

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay! Sounds like an amazing time was had by your family! Please come back anytime:) I love when families enjoy the cabin as much as we do!!!!
Very chill spacious cabin with almost everything you need on site
Everything was great!!! Only thing didn't understand was the trash situation. We arrived to the trash cans almost full so we added to it and took the trash out (tuesday), when we checked out (Wednesday) we pulled trash in. But everything was GREAT! Even the off and on RAIN THANK YOU!
This cabin is great getaway for those looking to relax. Quiet and nice neighborhood. Cabin was super clean. Shopping less than 2 miles away. Game room was a plus. Best part was the back yard and porch. Big Yard fenced was perfect for our dogs to run around and enjoy the weather. Plenty of tall pine trees in the back yard made it feel refreshing and outdoors in woods. Everything you need this cabin pretty much has. Highly Recommended.
It was a last minute booking for a sad situation and the property manager was very accommodating. It was nice to be able to relax on the back deck and decompress in the game room. We hope to come back and stay under better circumstances.

About the host
Hosted by Stacey Durney
Stacey grew up in Minnesota and always enjoyed family time at the cabin. She wanted to give the same memories to her 3 boys- now 16, 13 and 9. They spend as much time as they can up here between sports and school!!!!
Why they chose this property
This property has a fenced yard for kids and animals to play safely and freely. We are nestled in beautiful Lakeside, close to lakes, hiking and skiing.
We were considering a vacation home for a long time but never found the right one. We walked into this property and immediately fell in love with it. We love all that the Pinetop-Lakeside area has to offer and have hiked most of the trails, fished the local lakes and enjoyed a pint or two at the nearby watering holes. You'll find that you can get anything you need in a 5 minute drive or you can enjoy your privacy.
What makes this property unique
The cabin was refurbished twice, most recently in 2009 when the interior was updated to 'cabin chic' with knotty pine and an over-sized fireplace. The yard is large and quiet with lots of pine trees. The front and back patio decks are a great size for relaxing in the cool breeze. The cabin is consistently 20-30 cooler than metro Phoenix or Las Vegas making this a great destination for those looking to get out of the heat for a weekend.
