Beautiful quiet place
A very lovely house that is comfortable and the decorating is lovely and fitting to the waterfront location. Easy check in process giving you independence and privacy. We liked how it was an easy drive to Dorset and Manchester. Got spot!

Sweet family week with grandkids.
Lake was very quiet on a late summer week. Good access to lake though it's shallow and the weeds discouraged swimming. We canoed, paddleboarded, cycled, fished. Grandkids enjoyed the playground at the Tinmouth School a bit up the road. One day we cycled the D&H rail trail. There is a pleasant walking loop around the lake. The house includes an excellent washer and dryer and plenty of towels.

Our family home has been the center of so many joyfull memories and we continue to make them whenever we have the chance. We want to share this opportunity with your family.

Why they chose this property

Our home is perfect for the outdoors enthusiasts or for a quiet getaway. We are so lucky to be only 20 minutes from the Slate Valley Trails! Our family goes nearly every weekend during the warmer months. Afterwards, we head to The Poultney Pub for some fresh eats and a beverage. Poultney is a lovely town and they have a Shaw's grocery store. If hiking is more your thing I highly recommend the White Rocks Nation Park hike to the summit for a spectacular view! For more local hikes send us a message and we will be glad to point you in the right direction. If you wish to try your luck fishing we have some huge bass and norther pike. For a temporary license head over to Tinmouth Town Office and ask for Gail. We have a great little walking trail that goes around the entire lake if you like to begin or end your day with some fresh air. Things to remember: our home is on a semi-private dirt road and children play near and around the road. The road is also enjoyed by everyone on the lake via this raod because it is part of the walking trail.
Dog walking, bike riding and running happens at all times of the day so the speed limit is 10mph. Another thing to consider is that noise on our lake travels, you will understand when you get here and can hear what is going on in the canoe in the center of the pond. Please keep excessive noise to a minimum out of respect for our beloved neighbors. Finally we welcome you to our home and we hope that you will treat it as your with love and respect.

What makes this property unique

Amazing views overlooking Tinmouth Pond and the Green Mountains. Proximity to skiing and mountain biking and hiking. Rustic farmhouse design.
