Let the adventure begin when you choose to stay in the captivating lakefront home known as Summer Haven!

The spacious main level offers an open floor plan that is highlighted by cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors and a wall of windows that reveals seasonal lake views. Build a crackling fire and get cozy in the great room to watch a DVD or your favorite show on TV.

Granite counters and stainless steel appliances, along with ample workspace, will delight the chef in your group! Whip up a big breakfast or a delicious dinner, and gather at the dining table to share good food and great conversation. If you need extra seating, there are two stools at the island too. If you are in the mood for a cookout, sliding doors give you convenient access to the deck.

You will find two bedrooms on the main level. The first is furnished with a queen bed, a TV and a DVD player. The second has two bunk beds with twin trundles, and it is the perfect spot for the kids. They will love having their own space to watch DVDs!

Climb the stairs to find a primary suite with a queen bed, TV and mini fridge. Decorated with a good night's sleep in mind, you will wake up refreshed and ready to experience all that Deep Creek Lake has to offer.

The lower level primary suite is a private haven with a spacious sitting area, a four-poster king bed, a TV and DVD player and a relaxing jetted tub. There are sliding doors that offer views of the lake and give you easy access to the bubbling outdoor hot tub.

Imagine relaxing on the expansive wraparound deck as you take in the sights and sounds of nature. You can dine outdoors as boats cruise by in the background.

Outdoor time will be spent swimming and fishing from your dock slip or gathering with family and friends around the lakefront fire pit each evening. Rent a boat or bring your own, and cruise to quiet coves and waterfront restaurants.

Centrally located, a five to ten-minute drive in any direction will lead you to popular area activities, restaurants and attractions. Wisp Resort is nearby and their options for recreation are almost endless. You can ski, golf, snow tube, mountain bike, ride the mountain coaster, cross country ski or take a Segway tour. On top of the mountain, the Adventure Sports Center's white water course promises to get your adrenaline pumping with a guided trip on their man-made river.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We had a wonderful week at Summer Haven. The ski slopes are very close and this house was perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. The house is equipped with everything you need to cook meals. We really loved our experience.

We had a great stay. The property is very nice and has everything you need. Called the property manager for an oven issue and they were very responsive. Nice spot on the lake and lots of amenities including a fat groundhog and a bunch of chipmunks

Winter vacation

Property location is really nice. The dishes, silverwares can be more cleaner though but I like the fact that they have everything I need in the kitchen. Not a big fan of the barn door in the master bedroom. Overall though we love the property and enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again.

Prior to check I had read more reviews of the property which triggered some concerns. I addressed my concerns with the host and was assured that my concern/issue would be addressed. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to see that my concern/issue had indeed been addressed allowing me and my friends to enjoy our mini vacation. The property is located in a excellent location and we enjoyed it immensely. I would definitely recommend this property to friends.

Great location and outdoors

The house was not very clean. I tried to overlook the black handprints around light switches, on doors and on the broken kitchen cabinets. Overall it didn’t feel clean. A dresser in the master bedroom had thick dust on it. The outdoors was great. Able to walk into the lake, dock slip, hot tub, fire pit and plenty of chairs. My kids could even play a small game of wiffle ball on the lakeside yard

The location of the house was wonderfull and full of amenaties. I stayed there with my wife, 2 daughters, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. We were very comfortable in the house. However, like most places that I stay they are never clean enough for me, so we cleaned as soon as we arrived.

We really enjoyed the location of the house and our time there. The lake was beautiful and the house had everything we needed. But the dust inside the home was awful. We have persons with dust allergies and they were having some trouble dealing with that. It was very costly for the house rental place for it to be in such need of a good cleaning.

Property is great for large families and gatherings. Everything you need to have a cozy, relaxing vacation. The property is alittle dated but everything was functional, stocked and clean. Definitely recommend.

We love the large yard and lake access. The home itself is nicely sized for a week vacation. The kitchen cabinets are a bit challenging (nothing stays open by itself!) and there's not much available storage space. The mattress are pretty awful, especially the master king and the bunk beds. Other than that, great house, great location.

Best Location on the Lake

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location, location, location. Pros: Perfect wooded spot on the lake, a little beach area, fire pit, nice lawn by the lake. Great for lazy lake days. Fun to watch chipmunks, ducks, and whistle-pigs in the yard. The upper deck is lovely. Taylor-Made is a great property management company, very helpful. The property was mostly clean. Most of the property seemed well maintained. Nice size and room for bigger groups, but still everyone can have their own space. The views are great from any room in the house. Quite part of the lake. Boat traffic is fun to watch drive by. The hot tub is like new and was very clean. The retractable awning on teh deck is nice. Cons: The basement shower plumbing needs work, only hot water comes out of the wall shower head. The bed in the basement is loud with ANY movement, even rolling over at night makes a loud enough noise to wake people up. The fridge drips water from the top and freezes items. Basement bathroom tub jets need some bleach, they were very dirty. The new jet ski docks detract from the pleasantness of the docks and cause the dock to be uneven (raised on one side) making it not comfortable to spend time on. One member of our party cut his toe on the mounting hardware for new the jet ski docks. The bear box does not prevent bear access: a bear knocked over the box, opened the lid, and made a mess. The WiFi is unreliable and requires a lot of coaxing to keep working. The TV in the main living room is undersized. Hot tub head rests could use a good scrub or replacement. Trees near the upper deck could use some care--they are overgrown, block views, and have some hanging limbs. Some light bulbs need replacing.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location of Summer Haven and it was the right size for our group of 8, though the living area did get a little crowded. It rained a lot on our visit, so we were all inside more than we would have liked. The furniture is old and some could use cleaning (i.e. upholstery on an armchair showed stains where heads rest against it). The dishwasher also broke during our stay. The rental company was quick to check it out, but could not fix it, so they provided paper plates & cutlery. Their idea, not ours, so I appreciated that. The yard and dock are amazing. Shady in the yard until early afternoon and plenty of chairs to sit on. The awning on the deck came in handy during all the rain. All in all a nice house, but it could use some updates. I'd stay again for the location.

The house is so close to the lake, and close to Wisp. We were very impressed that the inclined driveway and parking area outside of driveway were plowed while we were out and the walkways shoveled. We will definitely consider staying at this house again! Thanks!

The home is adorable and the fire pit for cool fall evenings was perfect!!! Lunch at the Silver Tree Restaurant was delicious, cocktails while listening to a great band at the Honi Honi was fun, and barbecue sandwiches at Archies after a hike at Swallow Falls hit the spot!

It is a nicely laid out property with excellent lake front area. When we had an issue with the hot tub and smoke detectors, the Taylor Made staff were responsive, friendly, and took care of the issues very promptly. The boat dock could use some improvement - it is quite rickety. Also, I suggest that those staying in the bottom floor master suite not plan to use the shower in the suite's bathroom. It is a tall Jacuzzi tub and thus not easy to climb in and out of. Since I am short, I really had to straddle the tub to get in and out. Also, the shower curtain was quite stained. It wasn't a big deal though as my husband and I just used one of the other showers in the house.

Our first visit to Deep Creek

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an awesome family/birthday vacation ever!The location was perfect! We brought our paddle board and kayak. Close to everything we wanted to do. The management company was good. A couple of things could have been better, the ice maker didn't work, the hot tub was not checked mid-week, and the comforters were not clean. So we just washed blankets for us to use at night.
