Spa | Near Lake & Village

Enjoy the best of Big Bear from Pine Haven Chalet! Updated home in a convenient location features a hot tub on the deck, an oversized 1/3-acre yard shaded with numerous pines, and serene views of the meadow area at the edge of the lake. Located on the exclusive Boulder Bay peninsula, just 250 yards from the marina, and set back from the street for a little extra privacy.

We are continually updating the cabin for guests' comfort, from new wood-look flooring throughout the common areas and brand new quartzite countertops in the kitchen, to a new 50-gallon water heater. Seating in the living room includes an new extra-deep couch that rivals the beds for comfort.

You can rest assured that you will have everything you need for meal preparation in this full kitchen that includes a standard coffee maker and blender, and all stainless steel appliances -- fridge, gas stove and oven, microwave, and dishwasher. We provide coffee, salt and pepper, cooking oil, a spice rack, and even condiments. The cabin is stocked with dishes, flatware, glasses, and pots and pans needed for cooking, as well as BBQ tools for the propane grill.

Linens (towels, sheets, and bedding) are provided, though not facecloths at this time. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish soap, sponge, dish towels, dishwasher detergent, and laundry detergent are all provided.

The dining table seats 6, plus seating for 2 at the bar counter. There is a foosball table upstairs in the loft, 3 TVs with Roku for entertainment, and a variety of board games. The outdoor space often begs exploring too -- kids who have stayed here have invented some very interesting games with all the pinecones outside!

Master bedroom: 1 King bed
Smaller bedroom: 1 twin-over-full bunk bed
Loft: 1 Queen bed and 1 futon

The upstairs loft has its own full bathroom. Please note that the bathroom on the main floor is accessible only through the bunk bed room.

Great spot in Big Bear
We had a great weekend in Big Bear. The house was clean and super cute. The kitchen was fully functional and we made several meals. We really like that each room had a Roku TV so people could relax around the house. There was a large front and back lawn for playing in the snow and Alpine Slide Park was right down the road. The hot tub was also clean and worked well. Highly recommend!

Christmas Family Getaway
This was the second year we spent at this home in Big Bear at Christmas so it feels like a real family winter vacation for us. There is lots of room for me in the loft with a private bath and downstairs, my son and wife had a large, comfortable room and there was plenty of space for the 3 kids. There was snow all around the house so the kids enjoyed sledding down the slopes and playing in the snow. The owner/hostess is easy to reach and responds immediately to our requests. The baked goods were such a special treat for everyone. It was a wonderful vacation for all of us and would definitely recommend this property to everyone.

Pittsburgh to LA vacation
Laura is an excellent host. She gave us lots of tips on things to do and see. Rental was spotless and well taken care of. Only downside was lack of ac which we were aware of going in. Plus maybe the hottest days of the year didn’t help!

Great summer getaway!
Big bear lake area is so quaint! The marina is a short 300 feet where you can get your boat rental which is well worth it! The lake is stocked with fish and it’s gorgeous! The cabin is a perfect place to relax. The only negative is that there is no AC.

We love traveling and enjoy the restorative effect of the mountains. We are always looking for new places to explore, near and far, and we are excited to share all that Big Bear has to offer with you!

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this property and didn't want to leave! I love relaxing on the deck taking in the view with a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine.

What makes this property unique

The spacious lot lends a sense of privacy and room for the family to spread out. The hot tub on the deck offers a view of a meadow in summer/fall, snow field in winter, or edge of the lake in spring.
The open floor plan is great for entertaining and the kitchen is stocked with all the necessities you need to cook!
