We highly recommend this property for a relaxing vacation. We’ve rented several different VRBO properties and I’ve never experienced one that was as well stocked as this one. It’s extremely clean, spacious and perfect for 2 couples or a family. Great proximity to the pool too!

Scuba diving trip for husband and daughter

This was our first trip back to the island of Hawaii in 26 years. We were absolutely delighted with this property. Leslie the owner and Larry the onsite manager, were extremely responsive. We needed a bit of help finding the home the first night but of course Leslie was able to get us to the right place via the phone. And Larry was right on the spot to replace a propane tank on the outdoor grill. The townhome was absolutely the best equipped vacation home that we have ever stayed at in our 20+ years of renting vacation homes. The kitchen has all the right sized pans and utensils that could possibly ever be needed. And the owner has generously left things like spices and oils for cooking. These were greatly appreciated and we left items in kind. Thank you so much for opening up your home to us. We would absolutely rent your townhome again the next time we come to Hawaii. My husband and daughter had great experiences scuba diving, they got to see manta rays on night dives, they did night deep dives where they hung off the bottom of the dive boat and saw creatures that come up from the deep, joined by dolphins and pilot whales and best of all - they came upon a whale shark - all the divers jumped in and snorkeled for a 1/2 hour with the shark and got some stunning pictures. Thank you so much again for a wonderful time.

Wonderful condo in great location

I have stayed in multiple condos in the Mauna Lani area and this is one of the best. Very clean, well appointed, well supplied and totally comfortable. I had no issues during my stay except there was quite a bit of noise during the day from renovation that was being done in the condo next door. This is certainly nothing that Leslie, the owner could control and I expect it won't be too long until they are done with the construction.

Everything you need for a wonderful vacation

We enjoyed seven weeks at this wonderful condo in the heart of the Mauna Lani resort. This townhouse is beautiful and was immaculate at check-in, which went smoothly due to explicit instructions as to how to access the unit. The kitchen is furnished with every pot, pan, appliance, and utensil needed to create many meals, augmented by the outdoor grilling area and private lanai. The resort's grocery store is well stocked and is just a five-minute drive. The upstairs master bedroom has a huge bathroom with jetted tub, double vanity, and ample shower. Both the king bed in the MBR and the queen bed downstairs are high quality. The unit's location cannot be beat. Access to the nearby Mauna Lani Beach Club is included with your rental. The unit is fully furnished with beach and snorkeling gear. The condo complex's pool and hot tub are beautifully maintained and there is a workout room. Golfers will have their choice of several nearby courses. If your rental dates are available, don't hesitate to reserve this superior rental.

The property is large, comfortable, and fully equipped. The beach club access that is included in the rental has some of the best snorkeling, and so close! The beach gear in the garage was awesome. Highly recommended as a great base for a Hawaii vacation.

The Fairways are great.

We enjoyed this unit very much. We’ve rented several over the years and this is one of the best. Wish there was a chaise on the patio though 😎. The location is central to many places so it’s very walkable.

The unit was very clean and we were impressed with how all the little details were thought through. Two things we missed were chaise lounge on the lanai and magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Almost too perfect!

The property is an amazing two story 2-bedroom 2-bathroom town house in a gated "village". It looks brand new and is almost too white everywhere that we were afraid of walking on the carpets! There's a lot to do around the area, it's half an hour away from the airport, roughly an hour from Kona and about an hour and a half from the East coast and Hilo. There's plenty of restaurants along the coast and in the hotel super-complexes (Hilton, Fairmont, Four Season). The condo comes with beach fixings (snorkels, masks, fins, chairs, towels, coolers...) and some basic food necessities and extensive cooking equipment. Everything is top-notch except maybe some of the oils that should probably be thrown away. There's a garage but you can't park your car in it but we certainly used it to store and dry our scuba dive gear. There was plenty of parking space when we were there outside the condo. At night it's dead quiet, no traffic, just a few joggers facetiming on their phones without earphones. And birds early in the morning of course, but less than in other part of the island. The A/C works well and was able to keep us at a cool 78 at night. The condo is not right at the ocean (it's about a 15 minute walk to the Fairmont Orchid's beach) so you don't get the ocean breeze that much. The master bathroom upstairs only has a rain shower head and the pressure is very low making it difficult to wash one's hair. The one downstairs is fine with a hand-held and a lot of pressure. Whoever installed the screen on the front door should have read the instructions better because it looks like it is backwards, making it very awkward to insert the key to open the door. The condo comes with a magnetic card to access the beach club which has a beautiful not-too-crowded beach, a nice restaurant and bar and an awesome dive operation. All in all an excellent experience.

Lovely and quiet

We really enjoyed this condo during our stay on the Big Island. This is my second time renting atThe Fairways at Mauna Lani and I find it an excellent place to stay. The condos are very private—no neighbor noise or pool noise at this unit—and the beach club is a huge perk. The gourmet kitchen has everything you need and it's so nice to prepare meals at home versus eating out every night. There were some issues with the unit but the management company was very responsive and respectful. No complaints!

Wow what a great place. So clean, bright, beautifully decorated. Linens and beds are very comfortable. The location is between two of the best beaches ever! Hapuna and the private beach club. Very well stocked with coolers, two beach chairs, umbrellas, kids toys, and three boogie boards, and two snorkel sets. The only thing that would be very useful is bikes, to bike to store or beach club. Our friends had them at their place here and used them daily. Thank you for your townhome! We will be back!

exactly what you're looking for

this place was spotless. the location was just perfect. it was quiet and relaxing and the perfect way to spend 2-3 weeks. clearly the owner is a little OCD with labeling, cleanliness, etc., but that's exactly what you want. we didn't have to worry that the floor was clean or that we wouldn't be able to find something. everything was thought of in advance and was laid out perfectly. we would absolutely stay here again.
