About this property

de Bloemgracht

On what some argue to be the most beautiful canal in Amsterdam, we welcome you to stay in this newly renovated yet pristinely preserved canal house from 1624.

Our ambition has been to create a space with a luxurious yet homelike and authentic atmosphere for you to enjoy while retreating from your daily activities.

We are sure that your morning coffee on our sunny staircase - interrupted only by the occasional swan passing in front of the majestic silhouette of Westerkerk across the canal - will set just the right mood for your Amsterdam getaway.

Located only a few hundred meters away from the Anne Frank House and another few hundred meters away from the renowned Westermarkt, you will be hard-pressed to find a more central starting point for exploring the city.

The street is quiet without any loud bars or restaurants.

The Jordaan is arguably the coziest neighbourhood in Amsterdam, filled with nice restaurants and very close to the "Nine Streets" shopping area of small independent shops. Walking around the neighbouring streets, you will likely encounter families having dinner around their sidewalk-dining tables and kids playing in the street.

The house is located 24 minutes walk from the central station or a quick tram ride. The closest tram stop is 100 meters from the house.

Guests should be aware that, given the pristine condition of this 400-year-old house, the sound isolation is less than what you would expect from most commercial hotels. Guests will occasionally hear sounds from the upstairs residence.

From Texas
Loved this B&B experience. Yeah he was friendly and bridget is at the front porch. Breakfast was absolutely spectacular. He had a wonderful suggestions of things we could go to see and do. Also, the location is outstanding. Close to corrals and picturesque. I found the accommodations to be clean and comfortable. Highly recommend them to anyone.

Amsterdam Experience
This home is exactly the way it is described. It’s perfectly located! Close to everything that’s Amsterdam like Apple pie, pancake bakery, and the Anne Frank house. The host was very easy to communicate with. Because it is a bed and breakfast, the breakfast every morning was great and Mikael really ensures your happiness with the food. The post does say because of the type of home, you can hear the noise upstairs. You can. And if you are not an early riser, this can make it hard to sleep through but they do tell you up front, there will be noise. Everything about this family and host was amazing! We will definitely stay here again when we return to Amsterdam!
