Wilson Ranch Log Cabin getaway retreat

Welcome to Wilson Lodge and beautiful Heber Springs, AR. We are nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and home to our 40,000 acre Greers Ferry Lake and the world famous Little Red River. Wilson Lodge is a hand built log house nestled in the the seclusion of a 450 acre farm. The Log cabin is a 1330 square feet hand-built cabin with a wrap-around covered porch to enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery. We provide all bed, bath and kitchen linens. The lower level includes an open beam design with a spacious living room and dining room with a wood burning stove, a full kitchen with all kitchen appliances and utensils, a full bath with a shower and laundry facilities. The upper level includes 3 bedrooms and a full bath with a garden tub. The Lodge comfortably sleeps 7. Bedroom #1 - a full size bed with a twin bunk bed on top, Bedroom #2 and #3 - two twin size beds. The property has a horse shoe pit, outdoor seating, picnic area, fire pit with wood and a large shaded yard with plenty of parking for cars and boats. We are within 10 miles of several access points to Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River. For the horse enthusiast we offer trail rides on a limited availability. For the hunter and fisher we have white tail hunts and fishing available on the property.

This cabin is perfect, has everything we needed. We especially enjoyed watching the cows coming in for milking time. Sitting on the front porch watching the sun set was so peaceful and relaxing. We also spotted a turkey running around in the back by the woods. Wonderful place, great host, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Quaint little cabin in a rural community. It had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. The master bed was super comfy and the kids loved being able to play outside.

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for and very affordable. Remote cabin but with AC and wifi and full kitchen! It was very scenic and quiet, lots of privacy. If you walk the grounds, check for ticks during the summer months. But we will definitely be back next time we are in Arkansas. Thank you guys for the wonderful cabin stay.

Very Serene

Beautiful remote cabin

We enjoyed the lovely rustic cabin tucked away in a expansive property. We preferred this more remote and private location. My only suggestion would be to have better signage for directions, because the gps directions don’t actually take you to the address. The owners were very helpful though when we called and needed help finding the house. Overall, I would absolutely stay again. We enjoyed it so much.

Great property

We loved enjoying the ranch during our visit! Lots of fun was had. Fishing in the ponds was amazing - we caught one fish after another. The Wilson family was so nice and great to work with. The kids got to ride horses and loved it. The milk and honey that we got at the ranch were delicious. We loved our weekend getaway and the memories we made as a family.

Beautiful place

We were very excited to stay at this cabin but after a few hours we realized we could not because of issues in the home. We messaged the owner to let them know we were unable to stay but there was no where else to go for the night. We would pay for one night and make due with palets on the floor, couches, and chair, but asked for a refund for the other 2 scheduled. They agreed to this but then gave us under what we paid for the 2 nights and excused part of it for fees that were very inappropriate for the circumstances. This will be a beautiful and lovely cabin for someone in the future and they said they took care of the issues we brought up. We were just very disapointed we couldnt stay and were not given the refund we were told we would.

A little piece of heaven

Cabin was very clean and provided plenty of creature comforts. Very peaceful and quiet. Front porch was perfect to sit on while enjoying a cup of coffee. Our only regret was that we had to leave.

Serene and peaceful!

If you want to be in the middle of the action, this place is not for you. This cabin is on a dead-end road, bordered by rolling fields. The views are breathtaking. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a week-long vacation, on our way back to Texas. It was the perfect place to relax and wind down after a hectic trip. We saw deer, wild turkeys and geese with babies in tow. The property owners cows meander thru the yard on their way from one field to another. There are no neighbors within seeing distance. The cabin is not fancy, but very clean and had everything we needed. Get groceries before you go to the cabin because you won’t want to leave once you get there. For a family who likes exploring outdoors and nature, this would be perfect. We went to Bridal Veil Falls one day, drove around Greers Ferry Lake and had lunch in town. Our last day there, we stayed snuggled on the couch and watched TV (they do have satellite and good cell reception), which was just what we needed. We did not see the property owners the whole time we were there, but had their phone numbers if we needed anything, which is perfect. Would definitely recommend this place, unless you want to be where the action is…..this is not that. But it is everything else!

The Wilson family were the Farm Family of the Year in 2016. We are a family of 8 that loves doing things together. We own a fully operating farm with Katahdin Sheep, Native Scotch Angus Cattle, and an all Jersey Dairy. Fresh milk and meat are available as supplies last. We have enjoyed having families stay at our farm in one of our two cabins since 2007.

Why they chose this property

Our hand crafted log home was built with logs harvested right off the farm. The lodge has a warm, rustic and cozy feel, yet with all the comforts of our modern world that we are accustom to. We absolutely love the porch to sit and watch the wildlife and the domestic animals grazing in the pastures. It is just a great and relaxing place. We love it and we know that you will too!

We think you will fall in love with Wilson Ranch, as we have, because of its unique benefits. Our reasonable location being only 10 miles from Little Red River and Greers Ferry Lake, combined with the peaceful surroundings of the cabin and all the amenities it has to offer are a "must have!" Plus, the extra activities of playing horseshoes, swimming, fishing, and those trail rides for the horse enthusiasts. Don't just take our word for Wilson Ranch, come experience it for yourself!
