Each oceanfront condo at the Kulakane Resort is unique because it was furnished and decorated by its individual owner. Individually decorated, each condominium offers a complete kitchen, free cable TV and free local telephone.

Kulakane Resort offers beautiful and affordable West Maui vacation rentals. All of the condos at the Kulakane Resort are located beachfront and offer a direct ocean view. We combine all the comforts of home and make Kulakane Resort your Home away from Home in paradise.

One of the things special about the KulaKane was the "Aloha Spirit" and that was missing as the traditional Conch blowing and Friday pupu was not there. We made our own. Next door did a better job of creating a tradition.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Huge surprise this trip. We arrived to huge black tarps due to sinkholes. I'd called and asked if there was anything "going on" at the condo complex, prior to booking. After being assured all was well, I booked our stay. Shame on property management for not being upfront and honest. They should have told us the landscaping was ripped up, the huge old palm trees were gone, etc. We would not have booked the Kulakane if we'd known. Additionally, there were little children unsupervised in the pool. The parents were staying on the 3rd floor. Its the job of Property Management to make sure rules are followed. After staying at the Kulakane for upwards of 30+ years, we sadly will not be back!!!

I am happy to be living in paradise and I live on the property that I manage. When guests book any of our condos, I will be here to greet you personally. I am a mother of 2, grandmother of 7 and Great grandmother of 2 and I adore my family! I encourage them to come see me as often as possible as they all live on the main land. What a place to come visit Grammie and Grandpa, right?

Why they chose this property

There are so many little shops and restaurants within walking distance of the condos. There are also food trucks just down the street from here across from the Times Supermarket, which is less than a mile from the condos. Guests go get their take out food and come back and eat on their lanai's and watch for turtles. Honokowai is a very nice little neighborhood between Ka'anapali and Kahana.

What makes this property unique

We are a small 42 condo complex directly ocean front. Every condo has the same amazing view. You can see Honu (sea turtles) in the surf out front every day and during the whale season, you can watch those play all day as well. We have a Pupu (appetizers, potluck style) party every Friday night at sunset. Hawaiian tradition is to blow the conch shells at sunset every evening to each point on the compass. We do that every evening. It's a very friendly homey kind of place that I think you'll love.
