About this property

Luxury designer Villa with infinity pool, gorgeous views in heart of Puglia

The Villa is located in a unique position 15 miles north of Lecce, the jewel of the Salento region. Situated on a ridge overlooking miles of olive groves and vineyards, it was the country residence of a noble family from Lecce built in the early 1800’s with its own chapel and gardens. After a two year renovation project, the villa has been fully restored and partly reimagined to become a 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom vacation home. The gardens have been rejuvenated and expanded. The original orange garden has been rebuilt and returned to its former glory. We have also added a beautiful infinity pool that takes full advantage of the magnificent views of the surrounding area. Tenuta dell’Alto is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the country life of Puglia, and especially the rich and vibrant nearby Salento region. Our special concierge services and our attention to every detail will make a vacation in our home a very special treat to any family or group of friends. Let us spoil you .... Puglia style!

Non adatta ai bimbi e alle persone sincere

Abbiamo soggiornato nella struttura e abbiamo riscontrato una fedele corrispondenza tra la descrizione e la realtà. La proprietà è stata ristrutturata interamente con molto gusto e gran cura dei dettagli, ottimamente arredata con camere molto grandi e tutte dotate di bagno in camera (senza bidet). Molto gradevole anche il giardino, quotidianamente manutenuto dal giardiniere (sempre molto discreto e gentilissimo) che ci ha portato ogni giorno 4-5 uova fresche di mattinata. Una nota di merito anche alla concierge che ci ha accolto e assistito per tutta la durata del nostro soggiorno, anche in orari insoliti e anche per richieste non proprio usuali. Grazie di cuore per la disponibilità a Francesca quindi. Uniche note di "demerito" sono quelle riferite alle insidie della struttura e alla comunicazione col proprietario dell'immobile. l'architetto Patrizio. La casa è dotata di una cantina sotterranea che ospita una buona cantina vini (e caffè, ma di questo parliamo dopo), raggiungibile solo tramite scalinata abbastanza ripida. Ovviamente nessun problema per la scala. Il problema è che questa botola è completamente scoperta da tutti i lati, segnalata solo da una balaustra in ferro sguarnita di qualsiasi protezione. Un vero e proprio buco nella casa di diversi mq che si è trasformato in un incubo per noi genitori di una bimba di soli 3 anni, molto curiosa e vivace. Abbiamo dovuto perennemente vigilare per essere sicuri che non scivolasse in questa botola che, con un piccolissimo accorgimento (paratie laterali sulle balaustre e un cancelletto d'accesso) libererebbe ogni genitore dall'ansia di un volo improvviso nel vuoto. Tra l'altro, davanti ad una di queste balaustre, presente nell'atrio di ingresso, è stato posto come "deterrente" all'accesso, una bellissima gabbia d'epoca per canarini. Per un bimbo più un'attrazione che un segnale di pericolo, quindi altra preoccupazione costante. Invece, per quanto riguarda il caffè. succede questo: la concierge ci presenta la casa e ci indica la macchinetta del caffè e la scorta disponibile per il consumo quotidiano. In tutto avevamo 10-12 cialde per 12 persone che dovevano sostare 4 giorni. In cantina era presente un cartone di cialde, pensavo fosse li per essere consumato dai clienti ma alla fine del soggiorno ho dovuto pagare 40€ di supplemento per una quindicina di cialde consumate. Fatto notare al proprietario, siamo stati trattati come pezzenti. Peccato... Per il resto tutto ottimo
