Melody's Bed and "Catch Your Breakfast!"
Located on a private working ranch, deep in rolling hills, lakes and pine forests of East Texas, we offer you your own spacious roomy lodge to enjoy. Make a cup of coffee and sit in the screened covered porch, work on your computer with our wireless WiFi and watch the wildlife and livestock all around you or just gaze at the lake. At night watch Netflix on the flatscreen TV in the living room We are not set up for parties or events but offer a place to unplug from the city, to enjoy the peace and relaxation that comes from a true county place. Lodging price includes bank and dock fishing. If you would like to lease the whole lake with two boats it is $60.00/ day /boat- you can decide when you come!. We are a catch and release anything over 15 inches - under, take it home and fry it!! We have enjoyed guests coming for many years as we were affiliated with a private fishing club. Many of our guests have returned each year! As we are working ranchers' we go to bed early 9:30-10 PM so please get pre-approval earlier or be patient and wait til morning!! We hope to meet you soon! We have been hosting guests with a private fishing club for over 18 years. We really enjoy meeting new people and showing them how a working ranch operates. the children especially love to "meet" the animals and birds!

East Texas is gorgeous! Trees, hills, wildlife., fishing.. peace.
We are less than 15 minutes to town with all it's amenities.... yes we have a Walmart and many restaurants. Lots of antique and junking stores as well! There is a drive-in animal park 20 minutes away and the train station in Palestine is 45 minutes. Come and join us and unwind from city life where kids actually go outside and play!!! Check with us first if you want to bring a dog, there is a pet fee of $65/ pet

Peace from the " rat race" New experiences and education about where food comes from and the most nutritious way of producing it. Don't want to fish?? How "bout sitting on the covered dock to read and watch the birds.....
The house has a lodge feel inside with lots of wood and a fishing theme. The lodge is a fully furnished, very comfortable home with wireless WiFi- just bring your food! Fresh pasture eggs are provided . USDA inspected beef and pork farm meats are available as well as vegetables from our gardens! We have most everything you will need and if we don't, just ask!!
