Comfortable condo with great location

This condo was perfect for our family to enjoy White Cap beach and Corpus. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. We hope to be back there again soon!

Great stay

We had a great time over all. If there were 1 area that needed improvement it would be the summery of the quoted price. Particularly in the pet department. This place is animal friendly like they advertise in bold letters. They ask how many pets, what weight they are ect. Then quote the total price of which you find out 1 day before arrival that the additional pet fee was not included in the quoted price and is now extra. For this shady sneak we will not be back.

Great time had by all

This property is excellent for large families. There is plenty of room for adults and kids. There is plenty of silverware and dishes. Pots and pans are fine, but serving dishes were scarce. The 5 minute walk to the beach was manageable with the children in tow. Very clean when we arrived and comfortable for everyone. If we are in Corpus Christi again, we will stay there.

First stay at Padre Island

The property was great. Overpriced but great as far as accommodating our family with sleeping etc Location was not on the beach. There was quite a hike to the beach. Also the beaches were not well maintained. Dirty diaper etc. and same goes for the general area. Went for a walk and there was trash everywhere. The pool was full of sand and very very warm. Felt more like a hot tub. Not refreshing. Parking was challenging. Condo accommodates 12 but only two parking spaces. I feel that almost 3 grand for a week in texas was way over priced. A dog crapped right in front of us on the beach!!!! There was no one that patrolled the area and no maintenance of any kind. Would I book again? No. I will travel to Florida where the beaches are clean and well maintained. I felt the condo was nice, the management was nice but it was too far to the beach and overpriced.

Clean Property, but Untrustworthy Employees

As I selected on the categories, the condo/townhome was clean however we had a poor experience on 2 fronts. 1) A family member in our party had gifts sent via Amazon to the townhome-we got an Amazon notification that the box had been delivered with a photo of the box on the front porch steps of the condo. We let the property manager know and they let us know throughout the day that they never found the box but that they came by at least 3 times to check (we did send them the photo). The neighbor had a Ring doorbell pointing toward our door and sent us the footage where you can see Amazon leave the package ~10am, about 15 minutes later an SUV pulls up (unfortunately blocking the door view), the SUV stays at the home for 30 minutes (cannot see on the other side of the SUV), then they leave-and the package is no longer on the front porch. Our condo inspection notice shows they inspector came to the condo on that same day.We watched all video footage from the day from package drop off by Amazon until our family arrived and that SUV was THE ONLY CAR that came through the parking lot that day. We sent the video to the mgmt company who said they couldn't help (fair enough-however we also know they lied about coming by 3 times to check on the package). Also, a couple rang our doorbell that night looking for a bag of items they left on a previous stay that the mgmt company 'never found'-we also didn't find them. So it seems items are going missing routinely from this location.

Great 2-Month Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always the Padre Escapes Management Staff is amazing. Their promptness is stellar. We have rented vacation homes a couple times a year for the past 30 years. No one compares. We were lacking adequate cooking pans/pots, ie. no lids for pans. Within 1/2 hour we had what we needed. Our keyless entry on front door did not work, dead battery. Seriously someone arrived and fixed the door within 5 minutes. Our back door would not open and again here, gone and fixed in 20 minutes. That being said the house is a great vacation spot. It is within walking distance to the water and we could ride our golf cart to the grocery store and several restaurants. The beds are comvortable. The living room adequately seats several people and is also comfortable. The one issue we had was storage in the kitchen area. The pantry across from the washer and dryer was locked. We were left with only two very small shelves in a small cabinet beside the sink. Being that we stayed 2 months there was no where to put our groceries. Thus our kitchen looked very messy as we had things on top of fridge, on kitchen table and tops of counters. We will be renting a 3 bedroom next year with a bigger kitchen.But overall this is a great vacation home.Thanks to Sarah Harris, vacation expert, in helping us find a house for next year. She is very knowledgeable, patient and helpful. Thank you Sarah!

4th of July Trip

The place was very nice and close to the beach! The only issue i had was that our condo wasn't ready until 10 minutes till 6 o'clock due to a ceiling fan issue

Reviewer Comments: The unit was a bit smaller than some of the other units in the complex. Big bulky furniture with too many chairs made it overcrowded. No pantry access, so most of our food items took up counter space, which was already limited. Not enough towels in the bathrooms. Property management was mostly the problem. I notified them at 9am... letting them know our arrival time. Putting us there an hour before 4pm. Time allowed to get into the unit. We had to kill an hour around town then pulled up at 4 and still was not available to get in. I contacted them and they insisted it needed to be cleaned more, only to find out services had been turned off. Wish they would’ve been upfront about it. Finally got in at around 4:40. Totally unacceptable. Not sure I will be back to this complex.

Perfect space

Property was an ideal vacation rental. Great layout, plenty of room, all the beds and cooking supplies we needed. Communication was excellent, wifi easy to access. We didn’t bring our dogs but it would have been great for them too. Highly recommend.

Needs updating

The location is wonderful very close to the beach, but the actual property needs updating. Examples pool area: three of the four lights on the tables do not work, actual pool gunite is old and stained needs resurfacing, water chairs are very old and badly stained. Condo: you can tell the place had been cleaned, but still had an old worn out feel to it. Lot of the baseboards are needing replaced, cabinet doors do not shut. Stove door almost falls off. Dishwasher is on its last leg. Mattresses were good shape, but bedding seems cheap - far from luxury. Place is very crammed and crowded also, Again everything in the place just seems worn out and needing updated. Disappointing.
