Boar's Abode - fabulous for big groups

The Boar's Abode was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. There was plenty of room for our entire family. The kitchen worked great for cooking all of our meals and grilling outside was great. The massage chair was a popular relaxation spot for the teens and young adults. Would definitely rent this place again.

Amazing property, perfect for our group of 11. Loved the theme, very comfortable. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and yahtzee board. Great communication with owner. Would highly recommend!

Nice, spacious, friendly

This place is very nice, with plenty of space. Our large group could all be upstairs or downstairs together with plenty of room/seating in either. The owners are very nice and in my opinion, genuinely happy to help with questions before-during-after. I have recommended and showed this to many people before we stayed, and can now report back to them it surpassed my expectation by far! We went in December, so we couldn't utilize all the great stuff that's offered outside the house. But after the stay I want to do a summer trip here. I was worried that from all the nice pictures, I may be disappointed when I got there to stay. Let me ease your mind and say that it is exactly as advertised, beautiful! Have and will continue to recommend this place to friends and family. Hope you guys start seeing an uptick of more guests from southern minnesota😀 thanks for a great place to stay that surpassed all expectations!

Perfect space for a large group!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Boar's Abode! The property was clean, huge and great instructions for getting in. We absolutely loved the large couch, kitchen and space downstairs allowing for everyone to be in the same space within filling packed to the brim. Would definitely recommend this to any large group! The pool and outdoor are perfect for spending the entire day outside, whether just hanging out or playing games. Amazing property and incredibly nice and responsive owners.

So Much Fun!

We stayed here for my sisters bachelorette party weekend! Just a relaxing girls weekend! Kayla greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed! She is a wonderful host! We enjoyed the pool & hot tub many times throughout the weekend! The barn has a huge variety of games to play indoor and outdoor. They had amazing WIFI! We all were connected on our phones and had no problems at all. Netflix was also available on the tv! There are just so many options for things to do! There are sound bars available for speakers. We connected through Bluetooth for music and it was plenty loud! Our group just can’t express how awesome this place was! We enjoyed our stay so much, we already were planning another stay before we left! Thankyou Kayla and family!

We had such a fun time at this property! We had 6 adults and 6 kids and there was plenty of room for us all! We loved the big living area and couch upstairs for movies, the pool/hot tub were warm and clean, but we especially loved the spacious, open basement where the kids could ride the little cars around and adults could sit snd play games. The woods have some fun trails through them that the kids loved to walk through and we enjoyed morning walks down the main gravel road. No complaints!

The abode was a clean, comfortable and spacious place to gather with friend scattered across MN/SD. Great for adults and kids— they have enough to do on site there is no need to leave if you’d rather just hang out and relax… pool, basketball hoop, running space, small walking trail to explore, hot tub! If looking for more adventure, plenty of things to do, places to eat, shop, etc within 15 miles or so. Kayla was super helpful, accommodating and kind in all interactions.

The Barn exceeded our expectations and I can’t wait to rent it again.

This is a fabulous quiet spot for a family reunion, grad party, wedding, yoga retreat, scrapbook or quilting weekend or girls getaway. Kayla is a skilled decorator and the pictures on line don’t do the Barn justice. She is very accommodating and flexible as well. Sadly we were in the area for a funeral but the Barn was the perfect place for our extended family to spend time after the services. Everything you can imagine is in the cupboards and drawers here, toys galore, a kitchen better stocked than any other place we’ve stayed, cozy blankets for anyone sitting on the massive living room sofa. Those 6 feet tall or more may have some trouble with the length of the twin beds, and the steps to the loft are a challenge for anyone with mobility issues but there’s plenty of space to make it comfortable for everyone and we can’t wait to rent again!! Wonderful Experience!

Our family just hosted Christmas at The Boars Abode and we had he best experience. It was the perfect place for our large family! The kids loved the hockey rink and laser tag, while the adults relaxed in the beautiful refurbished barn. It was the perfect accommodation!
