Our stay at the Point at Poipu

Love the property and the amenities. Very family friendly. Good for all ages and abilities and interests. Felt luxurious without feeling stuffy and uptight. Relaxing and welcoming to all.

Had a great stay.

This is a very quiet and relaxing place to stay. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary cooking gear. Lovely pool, outdoor bar with great food. I suggest renting a car as stores aren't within walking distance and Uber or Lyft does not respond. We did use a taxi service and they were pretty great.

Great condo

The condo met all our needs. It was spacious and clean. Love the huge master bath. It wasn't clear to me on the Vrbo listing that is was not Ocean facing. But still had a great balcony with partial ocean view.

We enjoyed our stay overall and the convenience to walk to the beaches. Based on all the other prices over the Christmas holiday I felt we got a fair deal. I would recommend if it is the best deal you can find.

Christmas in Poipu

Loved visiting Kauai and enjoyed the location of this property. Room was also good size for our family of 5. Front desk was speedy with all responses. Able to watch whales from our balcony and the must-do Heritage Trail hike and insane sunrises are steps away.

Point at Poipu

The unit itself was nice and in decent shape and the pool was a lagoon style so it gave it a resort feel. The only two issues I had are as follows: 1) We arrived at 2:00PM and the room was not ready (check in was not until 4:00). When we came back at 4:00, the room was still not ready and we were not able to check in until 5:00. 2) There were "extra" fees that could have been estimated and included in the property description. We had to pay local tax when we arrived and then there was an additional tax added to the room for each day we were there that we had to pay at the end. The booking showed that "taxes and fees" were included, but when I received the confirmation receipt there was fine print that indicated additional taxes and fees may be added. It only amounted to a few hundred dollars, but it still should be included in the property description on VRBO.

Good Choice

Large, nicely appointed room with ocean view. Property in good shape including the ample grounds. Whale viewing from our balcony an extra surprise (humpbacks calving and hanging out in the waters, every day. d Did not appreciate the heavy-handed and somewhat duplicitous marketing meeting which we agreed to do.

Ocean View, Beautiful Kauai!

From this oceanview property, we were able to see whales daily! Serene and beautiful. The condo was comfortable and clean and perfect for our group of two couples 55+. Close to the ocean, beach, shopping and sight seeing! I would go back in a heartbeat!
