First time weekend get away with the girlfriend. Cozy quaint and just the right size. We come in and enjoyed late pub dinner at Worthy Kitchen, then a super comfy bed. Hot shower with good water pressure. Complimentary coffee. Snowshoeing on the property was great. Close proximity to Woodstock and points of interest. Would definitely stay here again.
Meadow View was a great place to stay while we visited Vermont. We enjoyed the porch and view of the meadow while eating breakfast. The bed was comfy after a day of sight seeing in Vermont. Thank you for sharing your lovely place.
Owners were very nice. House and property was well kept. Loved the open space and no one around. Dog had a great time running around and jumping into the pond.
Wonderful - clean, comfortable, with all we needed for cooking and relaxing. The meadow and woodland trails are amazing/beautiful. We -and our dog- loved walking them every day. Also loved the stars at night, and hooting owls.
Daniel and Sondra were welcoming, and available if we needed anything (though we didn't!) We'd love to return!
Meadow view is exactly that-beautiful setting in a meadow with woods and trails out the door. My husband and I spent 3 days here on a mini vacation. We hiked in the area with our dog, checked out the neighboring towns, and had a relaxing time sitting on the deck and enjoying the view. The apartment has a well supplied kitchenette, dining/living area, good sized bathroom with plenty of hot water, and a king-sized bed. We will definitely return. Thank you Daniel and Sondra!
Daniel & Sondra have expertly anticipated anything you might want/need and it is already waiting for you in their spotless home. Super responsive and a pleasure to deal with. I look forward to staying with them again
This property is truly a treasure! The one-bedroom cabin was immaculate. Perfectly clean, well-organized, filled with the necessary amenities for cooking, and overall super comfortable. Seriously, probably the cleanest VRBO that I've had the pleasure of visiting. Plus, the overall property is amazing. There is a lovely collection of marked trails for long walks. This was perfect for off-leash romps with our dog. The property owners are super responsive and helpful while also completely un-obtrusive. It was nice to know they were close by for any issues (there were none!). Also: there is a HUGE garage for parking your car (this was lovely, given that we visited in January and it was a bit snowy outside). This was a really wonderful find for our New Year's getaway and we would love to return in the summer months!
We really enjoyed our stay!! Very peaceful, clean and comfortable!!! Our pups loved running around in the meadow!!! Great location too!! Would definitely recommend a stay here!!!
Meadow View was a perfect winter getaway. Our two pups LOVED exploring the trails and playing in the snow. Everything was clean, comfortable, and spacious for a 1 bedroom. We had to make some adjustments to our dates after booking; Shonda and Daniel were extremely helpful and quick to respond throughout
Absolutely perfect!!!
Meadow View was everything we could have wanted for our week in VT. The location was ideal and the property was gorgeous! My pups enjoyed our walks on the trails as much as I did!
We stayed for 5 days while we helped our daughter get settled in her new job at St. Gaudens national park. The place is decorated so cute and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Wee we also brought our 2 large sized dogs with us and they were able to stay. We’d love to stay here again.
Meadow View is a lovely cabin on a great property. We enjoyed walking the trails with our dog and stopping at the pond to feed the fish. There are other houses on the property but during our stay, we had the whole area to ourselves. Very peaceful. Daniel and Sondra were very helpful in resolving a booking issue due to my mistake. And they made checking in easy and gave great information for the area. Meadow View is well maintained and a relaxing place to stay.
My husband and I stayed with our dogs. The property is great with hiking trails as noted in listing. We were not aware that there would be other guests staying at the property in another cabin for the weekend with dogs until we arrived. Neither listing shows multiple rentals. This was a bit stressful since all our pets could not be off leash at the same time (not compatible). We made it work to share the property, however, it would have been better to know up front in case this situation would arise.
Just walking through the door we felt almost instantly at peace. Daniel and Sondra are wonderful hosts offering a wonderfully appointed home. Meadow View offers stunning views and the property is magnificent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meadow View, a well appointed carriage house style accommodation with the added bonus of garage parking. This pet-friendly rental provided a wonderful ski getaway located 30 minutes away from Okemo Mountain. We also hiked nearby Ascutney Mountain State Park with our dogs the day of arrival before check in, and enjoyed shorter daily hikes in the woods with the dogs after returning from the ski hill.
The cabin is situated in a quiet rural setting perfect for relaxation, with many area attractions and eateries a short drive away. The guest book provided many excellent recommendations for local activities and restaurants. The Hatchery in Ludlow is a must for breakfast/brunch!
Overall, this was a perfect weekend getaway with the dogs, we would definitely stay here again during any season!
Cozy quiet cottage in the woods. We enjoyed the opportunity to bring our dog and go on walks in the woods right outside our door. The cottage was sunny and warm with everything we needed. The indoor garage is a nice amenity in the wintertime. There wasn't enough snow for us to be able to ski or snowshoe on the trails outside our door, but we did get in several morning skis at Mt. Tom 0:30 away.
We loved our stay at Meadow View. The hosts Sondra and Daniel were readily available if we needed anything. We loved snowshoeing miles without even having to leave the property. We already booked our return trip next year!
The property has the essence and magic of that region. Sondra and Daniel are such wonderful caretakers and stewards of the buildings and land. One can feel how they love all of it. It was more than i could of hoped for certainly far better than 5 stars. The kitchen had everything even wooden spoons. I brought one of my favorite pans just in case, never needed.it. i am pretty familiar with that area but the local market was truly a find! The meats, wine selection, organic milk, so much choice! Would have stayed a month easily.thinking of going back to do some snowshoeing in that meadow! The place was perfect and they were so good to my dog and made her feel it was home. She left some of her balls hoping we may go back to stay again. My sentiments exactly.
