We loved our vacation! Lots of space to play outside, not too far from town, and great communication from the owners for our questions. We will be back!
The property is incredible. A huge property and the yard/field area is awesome for lawn games with friends. Even going for a walk on the property is nice. The place had good amenities and everything we needed to cook for a good group.
The house and views were beautiful! We had some troubles checking as we were not given the code to the door angle it was difficult getting a hold of the home owner. Also there was a propane leak but the propane company came out and fixed it right away.

Great stay at a secluded, spacious cabin!
The thought of finding a home that comfortably fits and sleeps 15-18 people was a bit worrisome! But luckily I came across this wonderful cabin/home that was everything our group was looking for. It had plenty of parking (even with trailers), large rooms to gather in, yet plenty of areas to get away from the crowd if you wanted to. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, even two with their own master suites! With a large group it was also very nice to have a home that had 5 bathrooms and 4 showers!! The property was like having your own private nature preserve and park, with multiple deer viewed both nights. Rebecca was great to deal with, always prompt to answer or return a phone call or email with questions I had. The home was clean, well supplied, and had easy to follow directions for everything. Thanks again for offering this home for rent, we thoroughly enjoyed it! Andy

As short term rental owners ourselves we can be pretty particular about where we stay. We do a small family gathering for Christmas every year and this year decided this place would be perfect. We had a fantastic time. Pros: tons of space indoors and out, beautiful location. Rec room is fun! Ample sleeping arrangments, lots of cookware and supplies, comfy lounging areas, we thought the place was really clean, we appreciated working with hosts to arrange early check in, everyone said beds were extremely comfy. Cons: we spent a lot of money for a 24 hour stay and when we got there the Internet did not work the entire trip. There was a receiver and satellite dish but we were told to just use the Internet and Firestick. I have a Master's Degree in Technology and could not get the internet to work -this was a bummer as we are a sports family that wanted to watch a big playoff game. Also somewhat confusing were different house rules, the PDF on vrbo had differences than the rules at the house showed. Lastly communication was both a pro & a con. Communication on the VRBO website was difficult, it took the hosts multiple days to get back to me on questions I had. When we got to the property and had issues with internet I found phone numbers for the hosts on the refrigerator and was able to communicate easily there after via text. Overall I would definitely stay here again with working internet and better communication/updated rules.
The location of this cabin is absolutely beautiful and serene, surrounded by acres of trees, marsh and rolling hills. The cabin is very spacious with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms upstairs, a bathroom on the main floor and a bathroom and sleeping area in the basement. It is set up for families to romp and gather.
The only suggestion I would give for large groups is to bring a griddle or a large fry pan if you need to cook.
Our family had a very relaxing and wonderful time!
I grew up in Lewiston Michigan and have been a resident in the Mount Pleasant community for nearly 20 years after moving for college. After school, I became a Massage Therapist and began living out my entrepreneur dreams. I own and operate a Massage & Wellness studio, am involved in music event planning, and am very passionate about healing arts-including holistic health, bodywork, music, art, and outdoors. My family built Cedar Valley lodge in the early 2000's and I was blessed to have the opportunity to purchase the home and turn it into the vacation rental it is today. I enjoy hosting because it's much too nice of a home and property to keep to myself. I hope our guests enjoy it as much as we do and soak in all the healing elements the property has to offer.
Why they chose this property
My father chose this location for the beautiful scenery and privacy.
What makes this property unique
The house is located on top of a hill overlooking acres of woods, water, and gorgeous sky lines.
