Fabulous accomodations and location
This was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor. There was a bus route within walking distance that would take you to both locations (we drove but used the bus in Acadia). The town was very quiet compared to Bar Harbor. The whole process of working with Marth was easy. We loved staying at her home.

Perfect place to stay to explore Acadia
This property was perfect for our stay to visit Acadia. 15-20 minutes away from a bulk of the Acadia attractions and Bar Harbor. Property was very clean and exactly as described in the listing. Plenty of space for our large family. Host was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this home for your stay.

Beautiful home
This was a lovely property in a perfectly picturesque village. We loved walking to the harbor. The only downside was that the master bedroom was very hot (it was a hot week). We enjoyed our stay!

About the host

I've grown up here in the summer months on Mount Desert Island in the heart of Acadia National Park. My children have done the same. From ocean, to mountains, biking, boating, granite and the smell of pine with fresh lobsters and blueberry pie on the menu, it's hard to go wrong. The June season brings fresh green and less crowded trails and vistas. July is can be warm or foggy- ever changing and the options for activities are endless. September and October bring chilly crisp nights, changing leaves gorgeous views and the national park at your door step. Come play.

Why they chose this property

Our home is centrally located to all things hiking, biking and water related. The quaint town of Northeast Harbor with it's shops and library and eateries is literally outside the doorstep. Bar Harbor is a more bustling tourist town just 6 miles away with multiple shops, restaurants and guided hike/bike and paddle board opportunities.
