Toad Hill: Great views! Minutes to UT & Airport! Pet Friendly!

This is a studio apartment that shares a roof with the main residence. It is separated from the main house by a breezeway that has spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains. You are welcome to explore the property's five acres (no bears!). It is located just 40 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, about an hour from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and just minutes from downtown Knoxville. It's a very easy 15 minute drive to Neyland Stadium. It's located on a cul-de-sac so there is minimal traffic.

Toad Hill was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The hosts, Doug and Cathy, were fantastic - warm, hospitable, and always checking in to make sure I had everything I needed. Their kindness and hospitality were truly appreciated.As a solo traveler, I felt very safe, the location was excellent - centrally located and convenient to everything I needed and wanted to do.Traveling with my dog was easy as there were many parks and lakes nearby for us to enjoy. It was a very pet friendly experience.One of the highlights of my trip was having the privilege to attend one of Doug's gigs at a local brewery - he was fantastic! It added such a fun and memorable touch to an already great stay!I would highly recommend Toad Hill to anyone and everyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and well-located place to stay.Thank you Doug and Cathy!

I really enjoyed my stay at Toad Hill. It was incredibly peaceful and serene, which is exactly what I was looking for. The room was cozy and uniquely charming, and the bed and bedding were very comfortable and high quality, something that’s very important to me.The hosts were so kind, friendly, and incredibly accommodating throughout my stay. My dogs were comfortable there as well, and we really enjoyed walking along the quiet dead-end street with its beautiful views.I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Toad Hill to anyone visiting the area. I hope to return again soon!

We loved our stay here with our two dogs! The cabin was so cute and cozy, and even nicer than the photos. The new hardwood floors and bigger TV were such a nice surprise. The hosts were so kind and quick to respond, and the mountain views were absolutely beautiful. Being close to Alcoa airport was also super cool getting to watch all the planes go by. It was so peaceful and relaxing just the perfect little getaway.Just note that the kitchen is more of a kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge, toaster, coffee maker, and grill, so plan to eat out a bit. We’d definitely come back again someday!

Doug and Cathy were great hosts - space was as described, clean, and even provided snacks, coffee, tea, and water for our stay. Dog-friendly with ample outdoor areas to potty and play with the pups. Hosts live on site but rental area was adequately separated and very private.

Great Experience

The property owner was very nice and made us feel welcome. A wonderful place to stay, the outdoor area was very nice. Saw many deer and has great views. Will definitely book there again, especially during warmer months when we can enjoy the outdoors more.

Wonderful Stay

Eastern Tennessee has so much to offer and toad hill was perfectly located. It was quiet and comfortable. Coffee and the hummingbirds on the porch in the early morning was a treat to see. We will definitely be back!!

This small one room addition to a home is really nicely appointed and I had no idea there were so many frog/toad accessories! I really appreciate the care it took to make this small space so inviting! Owner is very friendly and we had a great time!! Would stay here again!
