Comfy Home in Winter Park, can accommodate up 6 guests!

Our home is located in Winter Park and can serve as a central base to live like a local. You can enjoy all of the great shops and restaurants on Park Avenue within driving distance from the home. The location is great to hit all the sites in Winter Park or drive to the theme parks, Outlets and experience Winter Park or Orlando as a local. The home is away from the tourist traps and in a secure neighborhood, just recommend renting a car to move around. Come stay here with the family or if you're in town for business!

The home sits on a double lot. The home is a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom, full kitchen, living room, dining room, front porch area and large back yard (shared back yard). Total square footage is about 1530 Sq Ft or .092 m2. In the back of the home sits a guest house that we rent out as well to other renters (max 2 guests at a time). The driveway takes max 2 cars.

We have made the home a smart home with an Alexa, Nest thermostat, Smart door locks, smart light switches and exterior security camera. We have put our personal touches in home and opening it up to share with travelers. We look forward to sharing our home with new guests coming into town. Any questions about the setup we encourage you to ask.

Also in the garage we have a washer and dryer you can use. We have instructions on how to use and even provide detergent and dryer sheets for your use.
You also have access to the backyard. Just note there is a separate guest house in the back yard detached from the main home. That is another rental please do not disturb them in the guest house.

Perfect for our family

The house was very comfortable. There were three of us visiting family and ‘‘tis VRBO was close by and just right for us. We had a couple of questions and got fast responses from the owner. Comfortable beds , nice kitchen...an easy house to be in. The neighborhood is nice and quiet! It was a great place to stay for our visit!!

Worked well for us

We enjoyed our stay at this property and Muriel was easy to communicate with. I had trouble disarming the alarm upon arrival but Muriel was responsive in disarming it remotely and turning it off for the rest of the stay.

Lovely neighborhood walk

What a wonderful stay we had! The house was a perfect size and in a beautiful neighborhood. The neighbors were friendly. I took leisurely strolls in the morning, and the lake is only a block away. Convenient location to everything!

Fine house; rude hosts

The house was clean and we were pleased with the property. Our stay was over New Year's Eve and the neighbors had a party, which didn't bother us, however, in the morning the hosts wrote us a nasty note telling us that we cannot park cars on the public street because we were blocking access to the guest house that is on the same property as the main house. The issue is twofold: (1) the cars blocking access were not our cars, they were their neighbors cars from the party; and (2) they cannot demand that people don't park on the public street. I explained that the cars were not ours, but their neighbors and told them that we only had my family at the property. I mentioned that my sister, who was staying at a hotel, stopped by on the 31st and did not sleep at the property and they started accusing me of having too many people on the property and threatening to cancel our reservation. It was inappropriate, uncalled for and really impacted my vacation. The property states that you can have 6 people. I had myself, my husband, our two children and my mother. We cleaned after ourselves and even took pictures because we figured these hosts would be accusatory. After vacating the property, they continued badgering us about remotes to the TVS, which we didn't even use and which we left on the property and even had pictures of the remotes on in each room. Not sure if they had a bad week but the hosts behavior was really inappropriate and for that reason I do not recommend this property.

We enjoyed staying in this home and the owner was extremely helpful. The location was perfect since we were in town for a wedding. The layout was great and just what we needed.

I'm a total extrovert of the relationship and love to entertain. Javier and I both enjoy to travel and like to experience trips through a locals perspective and meet fun people. We've met several in our travels already. We are simple folks and balance each other out. I'm the voice of reason and he's the dreamer, ha!

Javier is from Lima, Peru but raised in Miami, FL. He grew up in South Florida and in 2006 made the move north and now calls Orlando, FL home. His job is in the travel industry, cruise to be exact. He's been doing it since after college and he loves what he does.

We've been to: Italy, France, Germany all around the Caribbean, parts of Canada, Peru, Spain, France, Colombia, Costa Rica, Australia and all around USA. On our bucket list is Tahiti, Spain, Brazil, discover more of Europe, Japan and the moon!!

We began hosting guests in Oct 2012 on a different platform and it's been a blast! We look forward to hosting guests from different parts of the world. We would share with you tips for shopping, dining and of course the parks. We strive to have your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. As long as you have a car you'll easily move around through the city and reach the world class theme parks such as Disney, Universal Studios, Seaworld and etc. This will be a perfect base for you to move around Winter Park and Orlando.

What makes this property unique

We found our 2nd home in 2015 and we immediately fell in love with the home. We knew this would be a perfect setup for our future guests. The home is updated and comfortable for families or for business travelers. Also the location is a hidden spot in Winter Park but also just minutes away from Park Ave. Also you're walking distance from Lake Killarney.
