A wonderful gem only a short distance from Ravenshoe. Extremely well appointed. A tranquil paradise

What a gorgeous place to stay. The owners have really made a huge effort in creating a wonderful tranquil oasis. Gorgeous furnishings. Roomy. Clean. Communication with the owner was quick and nothing was a problem. Highly recommended!

Beautiful house in an amazing location. Beautiful surroundings with active bird-life and the peaceful river flowing by. Would definitely recommend to any city dwellers who want to unwind.

I have been a host now for 15 years since I built The Long Weekend Retreat, Lake Conjola - way before the official airbnb days! Then in 2016 I transformed our sweet workers cottage, Queen Bee in Milton into a magical little South Coast foodie and village escape place.
I love the journey of creating a space, imagining what will make guests stay simply perfect, piecing together something unique and unforgettable.
My own professional journey has taken me through many disciplines and places; from art curator, to house painter, bush regenerator and today, with my partner Graham, we manage Piccaninny Plains Wildlife Sanctuary in Cape York for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy.
We are absolutely wildly passionate about nature and preserving and protecting Australia’s wild country and wildlife.
During those times when we are busy managing country, our incredible little team of helpers keeps everything perfect and running like clockwork for our guests at Queen Bee Cottage, Milton and The Long Weekend Retreat, Millstream.
