Cute place but not much communication

A cute place with beautiful foliage in the heart of LA. It could definitely use some TLC (broken cabinet knobs, doors that won’t fully close, etc) but was otherwise as advertised. Communication with the Host is difficult. He was unresponsive to two messages 24 hours before and only gave check-in details at 4pm on day of arrival. Pool heating charges are extra, which is fine, but he sent a Venmo QR code rather than a VRBO payment link and never told me how much I owed after my asking twice. I hope he’s satisfied with what I think the amount is!

Weekend Getaway

Gorgeous old school LA house. Comfortable and clean. Great views without having to navigate too high up in the hills. Not sure you could ask for more.

Restoration and Deep Cleaning Needed

My friends and I really wanted to love this property. Architecturally, it’s a lovely home. But the house looked and smelled like it’d been empty for weeks. Every single piece of furniture is stained, unsturdy and uncomfortable - Except for the beds, which were EXCELLENT. The pool was filthy and the landscaping was very, very poor. We were in the hot tub one night and a rat literally ran across the string lights above our heads. The bathroom to the master is s jack and jill bathroom shared with another bedroom. The outdoor barbecue and furniture looks completely abandoned. Everything in the home is old. EVERYTHING. The home needs serious care. If you don’t care about these things, go for it. But I was embarrassed I booked this place when my friends saw the condition and smells.
