This place was awesome for our staff retreat. The neighborhood is absolutely beautiful with mature trees and stunning views of Lake Michigan. We really enjoyed the backyard around the fire pit and the short walk to the beach. The kitchen island is amazing and the kitchen was well stocked for what we needed. It’s just a short drive into Saugatuck for restaurants. We’d love to stay again!
This house was perfect! Everyone was able to have their own room and bathroom which was amazing! The dining table/room was perfect for family dinners and game nights. Very enjoyable stay!! Would highly recommend.
What a beautiful place. The pictures of the inside are true to what it looks like. We really enjoyed the house and the area. So much to see and do. Oval beach was beautiful but if your not there early it will turn a 10 minute drive into a 50 minute drive. We loved pier cove beach that was only a couple miles from our vrbo. I would have loved to spend a week there. Also the host is very responsive and easy to work with.
This house is lovely. The kitchen is gorgeous and well stocked. The large deck out back was perfect for our family of 9 and we really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit.
We used the house as a homebase as we explored
Southwest Michigan. A fun find for us was the North trail in the Saugatuck State Park.
We would recommend this house.

Absolutely Amazing!
This property is perfect for a large group. It is very spacious and accommodating. The kitchen is beyond fully equipped with everything anyone would need. The beds are very comfortable.
The property had all of the amenities needed for a relaxing weekend away. The home was well stocked and very clean. The spaces were all comfortable. The walk to see the water was easy and allowed for some beautiful sunset walks. Great long weekend away!
This was a wonderful property and location… We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Karen was very easy to communicate with and prompt in answering my questions. The only improvement I would suggest would be deeper cleanliness.
Quiet wooded location. Lots of room for 4 couples. Beds very comfortable. Very relaxing atmosphere, decorated nicely. Enjoyed screened in porch for games. Back deck great for viewing wildlife. Location short drive to a beach and cute downtown for shopping and dining. Enjoyed this property.
Cooks' retreat in the shady shores of Lake Michigan
Beautiful space on a quiet street near the water. Kitchen was well stocked for this group of cooks. Nice, open kitchen/living area with a larger island made it easy to stay in the conversation as we worked. Very woody and private. Close by to Saugatuck and South Haven.
We used the house as home base for a golf trip. With large living spaces on both levels it was very functional to allow the group to all hang out together. The deck and dining room both had enough space to allow us to eat together in our outside
The check in / out was seamless and everything worked the way it was supposed to.
For the price it was well worth it.
The house is very roomy and clean. Lake Michigan makes for a pretty walk! It’s not a beach per say, but they’re not a far drive. Karen was very accommodating and responsive!
This is a very large property. The kitchen has every tool you could wish for. (We didn't use the ice cream maker). There were essentials in the pantry. You can tell we are cooks. With 8 family members, we all found our space. The dining table was a good fit us all. It also served as our game table. Sitting on a windowed porch for these activities was idyllic.
We rented the home for a family Easter holiday and were more than comfortable for 7 adults and 3 kids. The house was clean, ready and had everything we needed and more for our stay. The multiple bathrooms were great and the layout made for a comfortable stay with 2 babies. We enjoyed the outside fire pit and hot tub. The house is so close to public access to the water and sunsets were gorgeous. You also also close to downtown Saugatuk for runs to restaurants or coffee. HIGHLY recommend for groups and families! We will be renting again!

Dirty and run down
We were so excited about our weekend in western Michigan. This property had excellent reviews and I very much depend on reviews when making my rental decisions. My husband and I are frequent VRBO users. Sadly, we were so very disappointed with this property. Parts of the house are run down and need to be refreshed, but that issue by itself would not cause me to leave a negative review. It was the lack of cleanliness througout the entire house and the strong mustiness of the lower level that made this house an uncomfortable place to be. This house has a spacious and well designed primary suite on the first floor. This suite looks like it may have been added or renovated more recently than the rest of the house. My husband and I gave the primary suite to our guests (my brother and sister-in-law) since there was no way that we could have them stay in the lower level. The lower level is large with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is only one bedroom on the first floor. This information was clearly contained within the VRBO description. What the description does not describe is how horribly musty and damp the lower level is. The smell hits you in the face every time you walk down the stairs making this lower level extremely undesirable. There were hard water stains throughout the house. For example, our shower curtain was so stained with about a half a foot of stains all along the bottom of the shower liner. When I reached out to the manager about this issue, she said that their soft water line had a leak (how long ago I do not know), and as a result they had to shut it off. She assured me that the stains on the shower liner were not dirt but were instead hard water stains. However, I could not feel comfortable taking a shower and sponge bathed at the sink for the weekend. The bedrooms were dirty with dust caked on the nightstands by each bed. The kitchen range was rusted all over. The drain in the kitchen sink was grundgy and did not drain properly. We had to rewash some of the pots in the cabinets since when pulled out, they were filthy. The sofa in the main visiting area/family room was filthy. Our socks were black with dirt from walking on the floors after just the first couple hours of being there. It is not like me to leave a bad review, but this property needs vast improvements.
We really enjoyed our time there. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked. The house was very clean and comfortable. The girls loved the hot tub. Karen was very responsive to any inquiries. We would definitely stay there again. It is a great area surrounded by nature. We even saw a family of 4 deer in the yard.
We had a girls weekend with six guests and loved this neighborhood. There are beautiful lakeside houses and a peaceful walk with very little traffic along the lake. Beach access is more of an issue, but there is a nice beach only 2 miles away in the county park. (The stairs to the neighborhood beach access were broken at the bottom when we visited, and you can only walk along the neighborhood beach, not sunbathe.) Easy proximity to Douglas and Saugatuck, but a much more peaceful environment. The kitchen is beautiful and we enjoyed the layout of the house. It would have been nice to have soap in the showers and a reading light in the room with the bunkbeds, but we made it work.
Stayed with family for a quick weekend trip. Plenty of comfortable space for 6 adults and 2 kids. Kitchen very well stocked. Easy walk to swimming access. Great park with wide beach, shady picnic areas and play equipment only minutes drive south. Would definitely stay again. Recommend at least 3-4 nights if possible to take full advantage of the local area and property.
Stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate milestone birthdays. We had a lovely visit. Beautiful walking neighborhood with wonderful views of the lake along the way. Will happily return to this home again.

About the host
Hosted by Karen Massey
It all started with a need to getaway for a weekend. Being transplants from the west, we rely a great deal on locals who have lived here longer than we have. Originally from Montana, we love being able to escape to the mountains and enjoy the outdoors. A friend recommended the Saugatuck/Douglas because and we have been coming here ever since. Spend your Michigan dream vacation with us!
Why they chose this property
We started with West Winds, and purchased it with the hopes we could retire here someday. Next came Pinecrest and again with a full remodel - down to the studs. The only original surface in Pinecrest is the knotty pine ceiling. In 2017 from we added to the unique neighborhood in Miami Park - one of the last historically platted neighborhoods in Allegan County. Endless Blue is a spacious home with all you will need to enjoy South Haven and Lake Michigan.
What makes this property unique
We love sharing our properties with our guests. We enjoy being a special part of our guests family vacation memories and have become family friends with several of our past guests. We strive for clean and comfortable homes, presented at a good value and with professionalism. Our homes have been built, decorated and managed with love and we hope you feel as welcome in our homes as you would in your own.
