The "Love Chiang Mai Cooking School Stay" is located on the grounds of Love Chiang Mai Cooking School. The surrounding environment is countryside in the neighborhood of Thai locals, with fruit orchards, rice fields, and an organic garden. You will enjoy being with the local population and taking part in the activities in the environment around the house. The house is located a short 10 kilometers south of Chiang Mai city, close to the North Hills Golf Course and about 500 meters from the Lanna International School .
There, I have 1 private small house for rent. The house can
accommodate 2 people on a queen size bed and comes with private bathroom, air conditioner, a mosquito net, lamp, private hot shower, cabinet, table and chair set for working or relaxing with a refreshing drink, hot pot for making a hot drink such as coffee or tea, coffee cups, glasses, drinking water, electrical outlet, shared organic garden, shared kitchen, shared dinning area.
Guest access.
Wi Fi is available on the property. We also have a small outside hut where guests can relax, read, eat, plan trips and work on their laptops. There is a shared refrigerator to keep your food and drinks in the kitchen.
Interaction with guests.
Guests can also build a fire at night to sit around. You can also
accompany us on our numerous trips around the area such as visiting the Buddhist temple, bicycle riding, walking in the garden, cooking and food shopping.
Other things to note.
We can provided a welcome Thai BBQ buffet dinner or Moo Ka Ta for 350 baht per one person. You can join us to cook meals together the local Thais way in the open air Thai local kitchen using gas stoves or charcoal stoves. There are Thai locals restaurants open at day time and early evening in the village. Nearby you will find a western style supermarket, western food restaurants, ATM machines, pharmacy are all located about
10 minutes by motorbike. We also have coffee and tea set up in your room. The breakfast will be a Thai locals style breakfast.
The neighborhood
Our cooking school is not far from the Chiang Mai International
airport; only 15 minutes by driving and the school is located in a
village with all the sites, smells and sounds you would expect from a Thai village, Including roosters, dogs, lizards, chickens, birds, insects and the community activity. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to Chiang Mai city to explore the night life and visit Chiang Mai night market or Chiang mai old city.
Our cooking school is only a 10 minute walk from to the North Hills Golf course and Lanna International School, and only about 10 minutes drive to Baan Tawai Handicraft Village and Pottery Village. Vieng Kum Kam, the Chiang Mai Old Capital, is about a 15 minute drive, and only a 10 minute drive to the Ping river, where you will often see local people fishing near the fish farm.
Getting around
When you arrive, you can get to our school using a taxi app, rent a motorbike in the city or have us come and pick you up. Since we do not have street names in the village, you can use the Google map to locate "Love Chiang Mai Cooking School," or you can ask the driver to call us for directions.
We can also personally pick you up from the airport, train and bus station for 300 Baht. Drop off back into the city will also cost 300 baht, or you can use the motorcycle taxi to pick you up. You can be dropped off at the main bus route in town for 30 baht. The bus fare in town is 15 Baht.
For other options, let us know a day before your arrival. Renting a motorbike is one of the best ways to get around on your own and explore the area and sights. I can drop you off and pick you up at sights around the area for a small charge. We also have bicycles for rent for 50 Baht a day. We can provide a private tour of the local community, cooking classes, food tour, and "Elephant Taking Care" tour. We also make frequent trips to the locals markets, flea market for food and shopping or having dinner in the locals restaurant, so you are welcome to join us.
