About this property

The Location - Portside is right in town, only a 350m walk to Nelson Bay's boutique shops, cafes and restaurants and 500m to the marina and Nelson Bay Beach. There is also a pool in the complex (open from October to April).

The Unit - This third floor unit has views across the Bay from the balcony. There is a living/dining area with a flat screen TV with Chrome Cast, DVD player and a CD player, free wi-fi, and a full kitchen with a microwave, oven, cook-top and dishwasher, plus a gas BBQ on the balcony for outdoor dining. Two bedrooms (queen bed and a tri bunk), a bathroom with a shower and a bath and an internal laundry with a washer and dryer. Undercover secure parking for two cars is also available.

There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

Linen and bath towels are provided. The bed will be made ready for your arrival.

Only view was good the rest was not good Very dusty Front blinds you have to do by hand the handles was missing 2nd bedroom had mould on the walls and the door had hole on it

Very hot & filthy: dusty, mouldy, coffee maker not functional, used wound bandage & shirt at bedside, strands of hair on duvet, coffee sachets & coffee pods no expiry dates, 1 electric fan for 2 bedrooms, dirty balcony, rusty table & clothes rack. $990 for 4 days & 3 nights for a way sub-standard accommodation. The property agent doesn’t care for your comfort , welfare and health despite of your concerns. Serious breach of public health & safety, non-compliant with covid 19 safety guidelines for accommodations, serious breach of the Code for holiday & short term rental accommodation- failed to provide us SUITABLE accommodation. This property should not be advertised for rent to public. Worth reporting to appropriate agency: NSW Fair Trading, ACCC & Ministry of Health.

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lack of communicationNo soap, shampoo etcPaying $350 odd per night was a last minute booking. My fault but then to get there and have to make up our own beds. It’s a lot of money to pay with no beds made.

Beautiful view to wake up to!

Spacious, clean and comfortable. Shower is tiny.. too small. You have everything you need, however the apartment needs updating. Great location and walking distance to the heart of Nelson Bay

Dissapointing unit 12 1 Donald St Nelson Bay

To start the agents the agents did not tell us the best way to access the unit. The ad stated that it had a dvd player. It had dvds but no player. The unit had blinds that were missing slats, the balcony was dirty as was the unit. The oyster lights were also dirty. We found a dead cockroach under a cushion on the on the couch. It really needs a good clean up. Expected a much better place to stay for the amount paid
