Escape to the coast at picturesque Fingal Bay, where the beautiful natural surrounds and laidback lifestyle are ideal for a fabulous holiday. And the location of this property couldn't be any better, as you are just across the road and less than 100m from Fingal Bay Surf Club, Saltwater Restaurant, Longboat Cafe, a great kids playground, a cycling and walking path, and Fingal Bay Beach (patrolled from September to April). Time your stay so you can check out the local markets held at the reserve across the road, or give Fingal Bay parkrun a go on a Saturday morning. You're also only 2.5km to Shoal Bay and 5km to Nelson Bay.

This 3-storey townhouse is in a boutique complex and literally steps to a superb beach. The main, open plan living area is on the first floor, with 2 fabulous balconies. There is free Wifi, an LCD TV and DVD with a big, comfortable lounge, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen offering a dishwasher, microwave, full size fridge and cooking facilities.

The 3 lovely, bright and spacious, carpeted bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. The main bedroom has a queen bed, ensuite bathroom and access to a small balcony, the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and the 3rd bedroom has 2 single beds. The main bathroom features a bath, shower and toilet.

On the ground floor is a 2nd living area/rumpus room featuring a TV with built-in DVD for the kids and a futon/sofa bed. This leads out to a small courtyard with BBQ facilities and a clothesline, which backs onto the local tennis courts which are available to hire – bring your rackets and balls and have a hit! Also featured on this level is a 3rd bathroom with shower and toilet and a laundry fitted with a washer and dryer. Parking is available in a single lock up garage and extra car/boat space for a single axle trailer.

Disappointing Experience

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed with our stay. It was a family Mother's Day weekend. On the Sunday morning we noticed that the carpet upstairs was wet in the hallway and realised that it was an internal leak. I reported it and informed the agent that we we going out for lunch. On our return late in the afternoon, someone had been and left two drop cloths on the floor. I didn't get any feed back from them as had been reported that I would. The leak wasn't fixed.The next morning I tried to have a shower in the downstairs bathroom, only to find it had no cold water.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is nothing like in the pictures advertised. The property is in sever need of a clean, as there is mold everywhere in the bedrooms and living area, dust, floors dirty, bathroom dirty, kitchen not in a state that you could use. It would have to be the worst accommodation I have ever booked.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The townhouse is well located. Although the kitchen is extremely dated the fridge, oven and stove worked well. The toaster was broken so you had to hold the button down and it only worked on one side. The dishwasher required rinse aid. The cupboards were full of dirty platters and breadboards. There was a slow cooker which I cannot imagine needing yet no whisk or egg lifter. The cupboards and drawers just really need to be emptied cleaned and reorganised and some things updated which would be inexpensive. The shower over the bath in the ensuite is a slip hazard, you have to lean too far back to get yourself under the shower head. Perhaps just replace it with something that protrudes further. Consider giving the venetian blinds a really good clean, they were absolutely filthy downstairs and in the bedrooms upstairs. A proper outdoor setting downstairs where the BBQ is would be helpful. A functioning clothes line is also critical.
