This Pacific City Retreat is perfect for small groups and families. It sits nestled on the edge of the Nestucca River to the east. To the west is one row of houses, then the beach and the Pacific Ocean beyond. The house has a wonderful open floor plan so everyone can enjoy time together while relaxing and enjoying the views of wildlife along the river. The back deck is covered with stairs leading down to the backyard. Countless fish have been caught from the banks of the Nestucca right behind the house. You will see people fishing up and down the banks year-round.

Upstairs you will find both bedrooms. The guest bedroom is quite spacious and has its own full en suite bathroom. With a king bed and a twin bed that has a second mattress that can be pulled out below it is a wonderful option for families staying with kids. The master bedroom has plenty of room as well, an ample master bathroom as well as its own private deck overlooking the river and landscape beyond.

Just down Sunset Drive, where you turn on Pacific Avenue, you will see immediate beach access with parking and accessibility for vehicles to drive along sections of the beach. You will also find Green Acres Beach and Trail Rides. Here, you can enjoy guided horseback rides, which are usually ranked the #1 'thing to do' in Pacific City. About a mile down the road enjoy some food and drink at Pelican Brewing Company or the Meridian Bar and Restaurant overlooking Haystack Rock and the Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area. There are enough things to do to fill every day of your stay or you can just relax and enjoy the unparalleled beauty of the Oregon Coast. Whatever you choose, the Rivers Edge Retreat will be a wonderful home to host you for your stay.

We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest.

Wonderful location

this home sits with a beautiful river view and just accross street from beach. Very conveniently located to everything. Home is very nice and welcoming. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Pacific City area.

The location was perfect for our event. The hime was warm, inviting, completely stocked with any and all we need. Close proximity to local groceries yet away from the center of the tourist attractions. The views from the home were wonderful, the ocean access within walking distance was breathtaking. We were there for our daughters wedding and could not have picked a better place if we tried.

Unfortunately the couches and dinning room chairs were very old and uncomfortable. Oven and stove top have not been cleaned in a long time if ever.Mold around outside of shower. Love the location and the beds.

Rivers Edge Retreat

We had a great time at this Pacific City vacation house. Located on the Nestucca River, it was a short two block walk to the beach. The house had everything we could want, and it was a very relaxing stay. We would definitely recommend this house to friends or family.

Fantastic Beach Getaway

My wife, our dog Rooney, and I had a fantastic weekend getaway at this property that sits right on the Nestucca River. Its great for fishing, relaxing, going on beach walks, watching sunrises and sunsets, and enjoying a warm cup of coffee on both the upstairs and downstairs backyard porches. Will definitely be staying here again and recommending to friends and family.

Best Stay Yet!

The Retreat met all the herd's needs, from all the kitchen necessities for large meals to the double-decker decks overlooking the river and its herons and cormorants and diving ducks and bald eagles to the ample amount of bathroom space we seem to be needing more of these days ;) Awesome central location for walking just over the hump to the beach, down to the Super Dune and tide pools, the other direction to the estuary, and over the bridge to Grateful Bread for biscuits and gravy and the Beach Walk for amazing smash burgers. Checked all the boxes, thank you so much!

Very Good

Very much enjoyed our stay as a family of four plus dog. We visited in the winter so the covered porch and balconies were nice to have on rainy days. House was very clean and neat upon arrival. It was nice to be within walking distance of the beach and just a short drive into town or to the state park in the other direction. Definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great time in Pacific City, OR. The house was perfect for all our needs even our furry friend loved to sit outback and watch the ducks on the river. You can open the windows and hear the ocean, plenty of movies and games provided.

Perfect Ocean Getaway

The property was fantastic! Easy to find and entry into the house was simple! The house was clean, had all the necessary amenities and more! The property backs right up to the Nestucca River, which is great for fishing, bird watching, and over entertainment. The back porch was a dream to be able to watch sunrises and sunsets, and sip on warm coffee in the morning. Will definitely be staying here again, and many more times to come!

Oasis in Pacific City

Corey provides a beachy home that is a minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Pacific CIty. The home is clean, welcoming and has all of the necessary amenities to have a comfortable and great stay! The view from the backside is of the river and is amazing at both nighttime and daytime. I would rent this home again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Pacific City. Thanks again!

Great house for family

Wonderful house and great location to river and ocean. Just down the road from two beach locations with easy access. The river is in the backyard with a great view. The house was stocked perfectly with nice linens and kitchen accessories. Pacific City was a quiet small town not too far from Lincoln City or Tillamook. Friendly, quiet neighborhood. Although pets are welcome, we chose not to bring ours. You couldn't tell this was a pet-friendly home, it was hair free and no pet odor. I would highly recommend for all.

Cozy Retreat

Really enjoyed the property! perfect for a retreat for me and the dog. Cozy yet clean and open. Loved the covered decks to watch the flock of pelicans on a rainy day. Would definitely return. Suggestions for improvement would be the kitchen did not have many pots and pans to choose from, a few most common sizes would be perfect. The burners were very dirty underneath with burnt residue. Also the TV downstairs picture/color settings were totally off. I tried in vain to adjust it.

Nestucca River is in the backyard

Decks and backyard are right on the beautiful Nestucca river with great birdwatching and even some deer-watching. We (3 adults) had a great time and would return to this rental. Even though it was stormy, the house had central heat and we were very cozy. There are covered decks on the back side of the house overlooking the river and also a very spacious back yard. To go to the actual beach without trespassing on private property you have to go a few houses north to the official beach entrance, an easy walk. Or you can go down to the other end of the block to Bob Straub state park which has trails and beach access. Other details: The house was very clean with a well-equipped kitchen. Nice dining area and living room with comfy sectional couches. Both bedrooms are upstairs and each has its own bathroom, a very nice setup. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Both bedrooms as well as the living room has TV's. I brought my Amazon Fire Stick which worked great for watching TV. There is a firepit in the backyard but we had to provide our own wood. I wish I was still there!

Beautiful View

The view of the river was beautiful and we had great weather. The biggest disappointment was that the tv did not work. Normally this would not have been a problem. However, we stayed during the World Series, and being a huge sports fan, I would never have rented a house without a working tv. After my second phone call to the property manager, I was promised a return call which I never received. I missed the last two games of the series. When I spoke with him at checkout he said he was unable to get in touch with the owners but maybe they had turned the cable off. If true, the online posting should have been updated. Also, the shower door in one of the two showers would not open or close. This house has such a beautiful view and we did have a wonderful time. Missing the two baseball games and not receiving a return phone call from the property manager was disappointing.

Infested with spiders, noisy road and vacation interrupted

Vacation got interrupted due to a dishwasher install and owner did not accommodate the time wasted. This should have been done before my family arrived. I work alot and it is rare I get to go on vacation and being interrupted(without wearing a mask)during COVID-19 is against Oregon and CDC guidelines for managing a rental. The owner showed up at the door to tell us there is a dishwasher repair expected at 2pm not wearing a mask or face covering. On the day of check out, we were told to check out and the owner did not provide any consideration to let us check out 1 hour later to accomodate for the interruption so I can finish my conference call. The cleaner came in during my conference call without a mask and without social distancing for my family and I which violates Oregon state mandates for short term property rentals bi-laws. During our stay, we had to kill at least 5 large spiders. The home is definitely infested with spiders and should have been fumigated before putting on the short term rental market.

The house was very nice. Everything worked and we really appreciated having our three dogs with us. It's a bit dated but I think that the lower price reflects that. We really liked being by the river - it was much better than being by the beach. It's a great view and we saw lots of birds. We were surprised at how many horses go through the area - I need to keep track of where the horse riding businesses are. Because of the horses we kept our dogs close by. Great access to the beach and to downtown Pacific City. We had a wonderful time.
