About this property
Treetops is a true mountain get-a-way - it's paradise!
Treetops is a gorgeous 3 bed/2 bath mountain home that comfortably sleeps 6 people. The spacious layout provides room for comfort, privacy and gathering. Whether you’re watching your favorite movie on one of the two HD TV’s, playing a family game by the fireplace or sitting on the expansive deck enjoying the fresh mountain air, the sounds of nature and counting fireflies - Treetops has it all.
Treetops is a true mountain home. Although close to the city, you’d never know it as beautiful trees, rhododendron and mountain views provide you a private mountain retreat. You’re also a short scenic drive to many Western North Carolina wonders and attractions including: Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, the Pisgah National Forest – with its famous waterfalls and Sliding Rock, Apple Valley and the Biltmore Mansion in Asheville, to name a few. For the outdoor enthusiast, we’re close to horseback riding, hiking, biking and rafting. The town of Hendersonville is just a short drive “down the mountain” and features many fine restaurants, shopping, “antiquing”, street concerts, beautiful parks, and other events.
Due to the mountain gravel road, it is recommended that vehicles are 4 wheel or All Wheel Drive. Although, most SUV's perform just fine. Standard 2 and 4 door sedans or low clearance vehicles are not recommended.
A few comments from Past guests:
“We just had to email you a let you know what a wonderful time we had at Treetops. To escape the city and enjoy a week at your mountain paradise was incredible. We spent the days enjoying the sites of the area – the Biltmore Mansion was breath-taking – and the evening on the amazing deck. A cool mountain breeze and a picturesque view made for great memories. It was our first time to Treetops, but it won’t be our last”.
“I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our time at your home. My wife and I spent our honeymoon there and it was everything we’d hope it would be. We really enjoyed the fact that it was “off the beaten path” a bit and could relax, unwind and feel totally at home.”
“Wow – what an amazing time we had in the Smokies and at your home. My wife and I went with our two children. Hendersonville is quaint, but offers some great dining and wonderful locally owned shops. The drive through the Blue Ridge and Pisgah National Forrest was incredible. We even stopped off and took the kids down Sliding Rock! Back at your home, it was a relaxing and enjoyable time. We ate a few dinners on the deck and even found time to watch on movie with the kids.”

About the host
Hosted by David Doroshow

My mother and father - Bonnie and Sid- built Treetops in 1990 as their dream home. Being from Florida, they wanted to escape the heat and enjoy the fresh mountain air while enjoying the wonderful views.
Now living in Florida full time again, my mother wants others to enjoy her house that has made so many lasting memories.
Now living in Florida full time again, my mother wants others to enjoy her house that has made so many lasting memories.
Why they chose this property
Again, Sid and Bonnie wanted a retreat from the heat of Florida and "city life". They built Treetops as their "little piece of paradise". A place they could enjoy both inside and out. The location was out of town, but not too far. Being in the beautiful North Carolina Mountains, but having the amenities of the city close at hand was (and continues to be) a perfect combination.
What makes this property unique
Unlike many mountain "Cabins", Treetops is a true 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. It's multi-floor layout is perfect for a family or multiple couples. The private balcony off the master bedroom offers great views, while the large deck on the main level is great for gatherings, dinner, an evening cocktail or just chatting. The master bathroom is a "destination for relaxation" with its large claw foot tub - a perfect ending to great day.
