Northfield Upstairs is a cosy retreat in winter and a unique weekend away in summer. Amenities include an authentic wood burning fire, a library of books to borrow, a large comfy couch and kitchen facilities. The bedroom is luxurious, with a huge king sized bed and treetop views.

Come upstairs to a unique experience in the heart of the Macedon Ranges. Northfield Upstairs is a fully self-contained apartment with 1 bedroom, separate bathroom and kitchen facilities. We ll keep you cosy with a wood fire, king sized bed, and large lounge featuring a little library and TV with DVD. We re walking distance to Woodend train station and the pubs, cafes & shops in the village, and we re close to Hanging Rock, Mt. Macedon and Wombat State Forest, so bring your bike or hiking boots!

Enjoy access to the seasonal vegetable patch, front garden and nearby walking/hiking trails. Macedon and Wombat State forests are within easy driving distance, as are Mt. Macedon, Memorial Cross, Trentham Falls and Hanging Rock. There is plenty of parking on site, and covered storage for bikes.

Interaction with guests

Northfield apartment is on the property where we live so we may cross paths, but the space is self-contained and private. We re here to help if you need us, but will respect your privacy while you stay with us.

Other things to note:
Northfield is up a flight of stairs, so if mobility is an issue we may not be right for you. Once you re in the apartment, the kitchen, bedroom, lounge and bathroom are all on the same level for your convenience. All linen, towels and basic toiletries are provided for you. We ve stocked the kitchen with coffee, tea and biscuits for a snack; seasonal fruit when it s available and lots of condiments and spices to add to your cooking. Additional firewood is available from the woodshed at the bottom of the stairs. There is strictly no smoking in the apartment.
