Situated on the south east coast, Makrygialos,is only 35km from the airport of Sitia & 120km from the airport of Heraklion.
There are very dissent, air-conditioned public buses coming from all destinations.. Sitia, Ierapetra and Heraklion.
The village of Makrigialos indeed does offer anything that you might need, but we do recommend that you rent a car so you can explore the surroundings.
The island of Crete is simply beautiful and it is worth exploring it.
Driving is easy and prices of car hire are very reasonable.
For the price of a pre-booked airport transfer for a family of four, you can probably hire a car for a week.if you wish to hire a car,we can recommend the company that we use.We do not take any commotion from them,we just want our clients to be recommended to the companies that offer the best services.

About Emma Konstandinidi
I love to travel, I aim to offer my guests high quality services and good communication, as I appreciate receiving from my hosts. I live together with my husband in Chania (west Crete) as we acknowledge that it offers a high quality of life. Life style is relaxed and easy going compared to leaving in a big city, we get plenty of sunny days, we have direct access to amazing beaches ... and local products are a plus.
Emma Konstandinidi purchased this cottage in 2017
Why Emma Konstandinidi chose Aspros Potamos
My grandparents, leaving between London and Kenya many years ago.. even before I was born, invested in the area of Aspros Potamos... Stone, slabs, marble, lime, earth from the gorge, ochre, cypress and olive wood are the natural materials of the island that were used for the construction and equipment of NATURA cottages, by local craftsmen, who resurrected old designs and techniques. The old stone and soil built houses have been renovated and fully restored
