Welcome to Love Shack a newly furnished 1-bedroom cottage. Sitting across the street from the marshes at Salisbury Beach, this light and airy cottage is the perfect couples retreat - providing sunset views from the main room. Love Shack is an easy walk to many amenities in Salisbury Beach; you can see your favorite show at Blue Ocean, enjoy a romantic dinner at Sea Glass, and stroll back to Love Shack.



Start your day sipping coffee on the private deck. Spend your days at the gorgeous Salisbury Beach or enjoying the arcades and carousel on the boardwalk. With 3 clubs and 10 restaurants within a 10 minute walk, you can dance all night knowing you are just steps from home.

Love shack was a great little getaway, perfect location. Everything was great except the bedroom rug definitely needs to be replaced. All in all everything went very smoothly.

Such a great spot for a getaway. Great communication from the time I booked right through departure. The cottage was clean and ready for arrival. We got there just in time to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the marsh. It’s right around the corner from restaurants, bars, and entertainment. I wouldn’t hesitate to book a return trip to this property. Thanks for hosting us! We’ll definitely see you again!

Really cute beach house!

It's a really good space for being a cottage! It has a full kitchen and living room and back porch, comfy bed, and the living room couch can sleep someone too! It's walking distance to everything in Salisbury beach! I would definitely stay there again!

Great little cabin!

The love shack was the perfect little beach getaway cabin for two. Three minute walk to center with lots of restaurants and activities! The only downside is it’s off a main road so if you have a third person sleeping in the tv room it’s very loud for anyone sensitive to noise. I will definitely be visiting again!

Great Location

Called about the sink in bathroom about it pulling away from wall told it would be fixed no one came! The blue couch is very uncomfortable to sleep on it needs to be replaced! Bed in bedroom not that comfortable either!! shower is great! Location is great! Thanks for a great stay!!

The cottage was adorable. The host even text me halfway through and asked if everything was okay ( very thoughtful) . There was one thing I think should have been in the cupboard a pitcher i Make my own ice tea, so I did buy one which I left there I didn’t mind ,couldn’t take it in my luggage.

Love Shack

Cute place and right next to beach ! Salisbury beach is so pretty but a little expensive to park. Newbury port is a short drive and an adorable town to walk around and go into the shops !

Clean and Cozy, just as advertised

Property was clean and well kept, jet tub worked which was a happy surprise since they tend not to work at rental properties. Updated appliances and small touches in the welcome package were great. We made the small property work for our family of four. Was conveniently located. A word of warning just to be very aware of your surroundings at the Salisbury beach, we had a couple of items taken, but that was nobody’s fault but our own, we were more careful after we realized there were people definitely “combing” the beach. Beautiful sunsets and great waves.

I stayed at the love shack. Perfect place to stay, not to close to center, but 3 min walk to center and beach. Very quiet clean. I had no problems. I would stay there again. Perfect location.

This is a small, sparsely furnished/outfitted cottage a little worn around the edges in a really good location. Seems to have been put together for rental with pretty basic stuff and not overly-maintained. We would stay here again, but would look around for alternatives first.

Nice weekend get away

The Love Shack was clean and comfortable. Close to the beach and a short drive from many cool locations (Portsmouth, NH, Newburyport MA). The linens were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The host checked in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. The only negative comment I can make is that the bathroom needs fresh paint. But we would definitely rent the Love Shack again!

A fun weekend

It was a nice place but it wasn't very clean. The kitchen counters and table were both sticky and dirty. And the bathroom could have been cleaner. We still had a great time and i would stay again.

Love Shack Lacking

Very convenient A+ location, walking distance to the beach, restaurants, etc. The location is what attracted me to find the Love Shack. However the cleanliness of the place was not what I was expecting, did not look or feel very clean, could use a deep cleaning. Definitely looked better in the photos. Very few glasses and silverware in the kitchen, several other things that others have mentioned in their reviews. 3 nights cost $840 after all the fees, I was expecting a little bit better I guess for that much money.

Love Shack

Although there were some nice touches, this property is at best adequate. A welcome bottle of wine is a nice greeting, but only one wine glass! And it's called the Love Shack. A new refrigerator, but no ice trays so no ice cubes. The kitchen is sparsely equipped: 4 plates and bowls -- no serving dishes -- 4 mismatched mugs -- 1 chipped -- 5 glasses -- if a jelly jar counts as a glass. The view is pleasant, but no place to sit and enjoy it -- in fact no yard at all.

Love (The) Shack

Cool spot. Would definitely stay again. Cute little place VERY close to the beach - easy 3 minute walk. Things to know: Gets a little bright in the BR in the morning. Unless you’re an early riser, pack a sleep mask or whatever those things are called. The shower is also a tub which is higher and may be difficult to get in and out for some. Not complaints, just things to know that may be an issue for others. We liked the location a lot. Salisbury Beach itself was apparently happening back in the day. Looks like they are working on revitalizing. Still cool since we prefer a little more low key anyway. Also within easy driving distance of Newburyport, Hampton, Portsmouth and York. We like to hit breweries and there are plenty within a short distance. Stoneface is highly recommended. If you want a cute place to sleep close to the beach, this is it.
