About this property

Green Bananas Cottage with sandy beach and private dock. Completely rebuilt.

Green Bananas is a charming Bahamian cottage nestled among the palm trees with a front porch sitting just 30 feet from the warm sea. Sea turtles swim around our private dock. Home has 2 bedrooms plus a sleeping nook, with a/c in sleeping areas. There is a wonderful outdoor shower and sink, as well as a full indoor bath with tub/shower. Rhere is also a 2nd half bath upstairs. The kitchen is fully stocked, and there is a barbeque grill on the back porch. The beach in the front yard has lawn chairs for lounging, and a sea kayak for exploring the Sea in front of the house. The deck allows for morning coffee with the sunrise, and counting stars at night. The cottage sits on a small sandy lane called Turtle Beach Rd which circumnavigates the southern end of Lubbers . It is a great way to get in a morning walk or run while listening to the birds and enjoying the flowers along the way; there is even a swing set a short walk away along the road. The lovely Hopetown , Elbow Cay, is a short boat ride away for fabulous dining and shopping.

A truly special experience with my family. The owner's communication was so helpful and always prompt. Amazing sunrises off the porch. More wildlife and fishing right off the dock and in the flat in front of the house than anywhere else we went in the Bahamas, aside from the reef system outside the Cays. If you want to make memories with an off-the-grid island adventure in a charming waterfront home, this is the place. Green Bananas!

Our 3rd time at Green Bananas and still a favorite

This is the first property my wife and I stayed at in the Abacos several years ago and we always seem to come back to it. Charming, comfortable property. Absolutely beautiful views and a perfect location! The owners are super responsive and the local caretaker is a great guy. Green Bananas will always have a special place in our hearts and we will be back.
