This is an almost 100 year old house built in 1920 by a then famous greek architect. It has been luxuriously renovated since and offers now all the modern comforts. It has very spacious rooms, a very large living room with a fireplace, a large bathroom and a fully equiped kitchen.It has a magnificent view from it s many terraces overlooking the Nemea valley and the surrounding mountains. It has a garden with trees, aromatic and therapeutic plants and a small vineyard.
The area around Nemea is full of archeological sites from almost all periods of history. In a circle of 5km around the village, you can find a stadium and a temple of classical Greece, a mycenaean grave yard , a roman aquaduct and a byzantine monastery. Mycenae is only 20km away, ancient Corinth and Epidaurus about 40.
We can offer you guided tours through all these places and many more or you can undertake the adventure on your own.
The region around Nemea is one of the most ancient wine producing regions known in history. It produced wine already in 2000 BC. Today it is the largest wine producing region of Greece. You can visit the many vineyards and the wineries (there are more than 40 scattered around the village) in a wine - and food tasting experience, that will be hard to forget.(Again you can do this on your own or you can follow us in a guided excursion.)
