We love this little gem, the fireplace, the river at the back, pub across the road, kitchen facilities, warm, comfy & clean beds. What else do you need? Fix the washing machine and supply tea & coffee for 5 stars. We will be back (again).

Great, cosy stay literally across the road from the pub!
Great, warm, cosy little house. Exactly as described. We loved the warm fire - ample firewood supplied. Fabulous being located across the road from the pub - which we visited both nights for dinner. A few small things that would have made it better - coffee machine but no pods, no milk and limited glass wear. But it wouldn’t stop us visiting again! Thanks for having us!

Overall it was fine but would prefer to deal directly with whose house it is.Kitchen too small and only 1 oven glove for heavy pans
We had a wonderful relaxing long weekend at this beautiful little town. Loved the fireplace, kept the place nice and c0osy, also has central heating. Smart TV and all appliances that you might need. We watched the Grand final at the pub across the road, wonderful pub with awesome friendly people, Linda the owner was very welcoming 🙏
Only suggestion would be blinds or curtains on the back windows for privacy and and would make you feel a bit more secure. Loved the location 10 mins to Marysville and 20 minutes to Alexandra , would definitely recommend, sleeps 8 be good for families, we look forward to returning with some friends, oh and entrance to driveway not great, too high so car scrapes underneath, worked out was better to enter along the path at the general store next door to the property that was much better and easier. Also great communication from the property managers.

Buxton beauty feedback
Was great, just a few points below:
- desperately needs curtains to keep the heat in!!! And this will save on power costs and cost to environment!
- scraped car on driveway, needs fixing
- door magnet stoppers are too strong
Everything else was fantastic...
We had a lovely comfortable stay. The overall condition of the property exceeded our experctations- everything clean, fresh and looked quite recently renovated throughout. Also we weren't sure about address being on the main highway, bit it was set well backlights on the block and facing a lovely stream.

We so so happy with the Buxton Beauty. The house was modern, very well equipped and beautifully presented. It had everything we needed and the location was fantastic as we were able to really relax and enjoy the surroundings, especially the river just out the back! We traveled all over visiting local sites and were so happy to come back to this very comfortable home. We would happily come back and would recommend it to anyone!
Clean inside, comfortable bed, close to all the attractions, being able to hear the river from dining area was a bonus :)
Additional bathroom would make it even better.
Well located, nicely appointed. Despite the listing there IS wifi at the property. We enjoyed our stay generally. The central air/cool/heat was unfathomable, and unfortunately the windows (for some reason) don't have fly screens so we couldn't get sufficient air circulation during the night and found sleeping difficult.
We really enjoyed our stay. The water views from the deck were gorgeous and peaceful. The inerior was a surprise...the pictures do not do it justice. The place was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with the basics (cooking oil, salt and pepper, cling wrap, baking paper, etc.) and we were impressed it had a soda stream and a pod coffee maker! Lots of DVDs and board games for the kids aswell! It was an easy drive to Lake Mountain for our day at the snow. We had dinner at the pub across the road one night - the food and service was outstanding. Overall, absolutely no complaints. We loved our two nights there and will definitely go back!
A very clean and well presented house. It was well stocked with things that make the stay enjoyable
Very clean, well positioned. Everything worked. Lovely having firewood so we could easily have a fire.

I am sorry that you had a problem during your stay, however, when our staff attended to assist you the oven and TV were checked and were both working correctly once checking the manuals. I was available via phone and/or in person every day including Xmas and Boxing Day and did not receive any calls or messages from you. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss further.
