Map
Our house is in a quiet cul-de-sac street just outside Bendigo's central business district. There is little traffic in the street. At the end of the street is Bendigo Creek, along which a foot and bike path runs directly into the city.
Bendigo is well renowned for its food, arts and festival culture. Founded in the mid 1800s, Bendigo is very much a product of the gold rush at the time. The rich and opulent architecture of many buildings can still be viewed today. There is even an old gold mine that can be explored via guided tours, down to depths of more than 200 metres!
The gold rush attracted many people from around the world, most notably Chinese miners. Still today there is a rich history of Chinese culture and the Golden Dragon museum pays tribute to the Chinese culture.
The arts museum is very well known and loved.
Bendigo hosts too many festivals each year to mention - there are several each month, attracting visitors from all over Victoria.
The food culture is quite incredible, ranging from local eateries to high profile restaurants guaranteeing culinary experiences of the highest order.

Ask a questionAbout Sarah Schelosky
My wife, Sarah, our 2 young children and I have been living in Bendigo for a few years. We have traveled all over the world and extensively throughout Australia - for pleasure and business. There is no better feeling to have a 'home away from home' where you know you feel welcome, secure and comfortable. With this in mind we have created "Lansell" - a home we recently fully renovated and brought back to life. We are proud of the result we have achieved and would like to welcome guests from Australia and the world to enjoy Bendigo, while making yourself at home in a modern and comfortable fully furnished house. We welcome all feedback - positive and negative - so we can improve our guests' stay.
