I booked my stay knowing that property was a little dated, but definitely much more dated than pictures show. Furniture is stained, worn out, and coming apart in places. The floors were filthy, as well as, countertops. There were bandaids on the floor, popsicle sticks, and dead flies on the floor. We also found bandaid in the couch. The cleaning people did offer to come clean the day after we checked in, but we were already unpacked. I swept, cleaned countertops, and tried to tidy up the day we checked in for our vacation, not how you want to spend vacation. Never heard from hot springs rental company, but I will be contacting them on Monday. I WILL NOT make the mistake of booking with them again.
The view was amazing, the space was perfect, and the location was ideal. The cleanliness and accessibility was not. There were no railings on any of the steps from inside onto the deck. There was a patio door with a DANGEROUS drop to the deck. Some others included: broken kitchen tiles, ripped and wornout kitchen chairs, no can opener as promised, dirty dishes in drawers, and garbage disposals did NOT work. For the things that did not work, it would have been nice to have had a note so we knew not to try to use them. The guest bathroom toilet got stuck running several times.
Don't get me wrong, we really did enjoy our stay, but we feel it could have been better had a few of these items been addressed.
It was a quiet area, home was very spacious. However, updates are needed. Beds and furniture are outdated - need to be modernized. Pictures on the walls are very old. We had to clean the deck and the deck furniture. Beautiful view of the lake - spectacular but need blinds on windows - especially at night. Boat dock was overrun with spiders. If updates are done, it would be a spectacular getaway.
Very nice home great decks with beautiful view of the water. Kids enjoyed playing on the pool table. Close to the attractions we wanted to explore. Easy checkin process.

Lovely lake property
The deck and view with this house is beautiful. We went swimming daily; the water is lovely! When the weather was too hot we enjoyed the downstairs game room and spent many hours playing pool. The village in incredibly peacefulness and convenient. We went to both beaches, went hiking, enjoyed the gorges and tried to rent a boat but they were all reserved. If you select this home, you will not be disappointed. One recommendation: Do Not go to Magic Springs water park it is terrible.

Property needs attention. Bugs in the windows and doors looked nasty. Outside deck and house needs power washing bad!! Nasty!!Smells like hell inside! Musty moth ball smell!!
Upon arrival the house was lovely. But when you really looked at the house it needed a lot of TLC. There was a lot of things that needed to be cleaned and updated. The house needed a thorough deep clean into cabinets and drawers. There were also mouse traps visible everywhere which was kind of disgusting. There’s a lot of broken things including the tile. And the house might’ve been haunted by the odd old broken dolls that were a little creepy. But over all the house served it’s purpose and the view of the lake was unbeatable. We spent most of the time on the patio and we even had dinner out there.

Mouse poop!! Cockroaches!!
Upon arriving we found mouse poop in several kitchen drawers, on dining room, living room furniture and on a single bed spread in one of the bedrooms. Also on day 2 a dead cockroach in the middle of the kitchen floor. Management did send someone over to set mouse traps with no bait. I baited them and caught one mouse over night.
The property was spacious and comfortable for all of us. The lake is a perfect size and great for kayaks. The water is so clean and clear, we'll be back.

Beautiful Location
Hot Springs Village was a cool area. The views were beautiful, and the area was peaceful and quiet. Great for relaxing! A little confusing on where to pick up the keys, but everything else went smoothly...
Nice and relaxing with plenty of room to move about, we enjoyed the lake, the dock and the grill.
We had a great time, we enjoyed the deck and some great fishing as well, we took our boat and just slowly cruised the lake , did some trolling and caught some bass and caught some bass off the boat pier.
Our party of 4 all had a wonderful time and as usual it has to end lol.
We highly recommend this property.
Have a great time .
Finally able to get my kids corralled for a short family vaca. We all love the water and boating so this was perfect. We had several choices of beaches. We rented a pontoon boat on Lake Balboa for half a day. Didn't spend much time actually in the house. We sat outside on the large back porch. Only downside was the first time we walked in the smell of moth balls was a little overwhelming. I would suggest a different snake deterrent since moth balls is such a strong scent. Also we had to purchase light bulbs for the lamps in one of the bedrooms. Loved the sky lights!

Awesome house and view
We have rented vacation property all over the Village through VRBO and this is my first time to complain. We loved this awesome property and the house. We did have some issues with housekeeping and appliances that we reported to the Hot Springs Realty. The dishwasher needs to be replaced due to the sprayer being rusted out and therefore explains the dirty dishes we found. We washed all dishes that we used by hand, which is no big deal, but could be for another renter. The foot rest on the recliner next to the windows is broken, The stove top was filthy and my wife had to purchase products and clean it before use. The oven had been cleaned at, but not wiped out. This had to be done before use, but still needs a good cleaning. I spent almost an hour sweeping off the deck. This should have been done before property was rented along with yard work needing attention.
Like I said we loved this house and would love to stay again someday. At $175 per night, I expected things to be right and they just weren’t.

Family reunion
Lovely location! The house needs some electrical maintenance, outlets and switches not working, and bulbs burned out. Kitchen drawers stuck, hard to open. Patio furniture and grill needed cleaning before using. The view helped make up for the shortcomings
