Find a better neighborhood

The house itself it fine, it is dated and has the minimum necessary amenities to qualify as a rental property. It only has 2 bathrooms for 5 bedrooms which is quite inconvenient when you have a full house. It has a strange odor that they attempted to clear with overpowering air fresheners, but it still lingered. This property is in a very bad neighborhood and during my 4 days there I witnessed two separate instances of police arresting people within 500' of the house as well as there is a large group of homeless in the area that are regularly wandering the neighborhood. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere especially if you are bringing children.
