We are a "Qualmark" four Star Gold Boutique Resort situated 80m directly across the quiet road from the beautiful 9km long Waihi Beach, our accommodation has been tastefully furbished for our guests to enjoy.
Relax by our 10-metre shared swimming pool that is heated 28-30degrees year round or in your own spa pool. The cottage has its own outdoor area complete with Weber barbecue and outdoor furniture. It has a fully self-contained kitchen/ dining area with oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and separate laundry facilities. Free WiFi and a 50-inch smart T.V with Freeview and Netflix is available. The bedrooms and bathroom are not large however this Cottage is full of charm and character and a wonderful space to relax in.
We are 4 minutes’ drive to the village with a wonderful range of boutique shops and fantastic eating places for you to enjoy.
Waihi Beach has many attractions for visitors, there are numerous bush and coastal walks and biking trails close by. Enjoy swimming, surfing, fishing, yoga, golf or relaxing at the beach or poolside at our resort.
Explore the area rich in mining history and do a gold mine tour of an active gold mine or take a ride on the Goldfields Railway train and visit the Karangahake Gorge.
There is plenty to see and do here.
The Waihi Beach Dairy and fish and chip shop is just a short 280 m walk away and the Surf Shack just beyond offering a brunch you won’t forget.
Lockable storage is available for bikes etc.

Wonderful Waihi Beach

Wonderful location right across the road from the beach. Great for surfing, walking, biking, the lot. The hosts are so lovely with excellent knowledge of the local area and amenities. The whole experience was really enjoyable and I highly recommend staying here!

Relaxing and fun getaway

Clean and warm little cottage. This beautiful paradise had everything on our family list for an enjoyable and relaxing Holiday. Pool, spa, sea /fishing, bikes, walking tracks and more. Our hosts were lovely😊

Slice of paradise

We absolutely loved our stay. Peter and Karen are lovely hosts. The cottage was immaculate and very clean and the spa and pool were a hit with our little man. The location is quiet and convenient and we would love to stay again.

Perfect wee getaway

Excellent all round from the location to the installations, decor and hosts who were exceptionally nice and helpful (sent out a great “what to do” prior). Everything was great. Will definitely go back and recommend.

Peter and Karen live on site and know all anyone remembers is how someone made you feel so with this philosophy in mind they want to share with you their cottage and wonderful attractions in the area. After 36 yrs as national award winning dairy farmers they have made a lifestyle change where they now enjoy helping others achieve their expectations of their stay with them at Waihi beach. Keen mountain bikers they have biked extensively around the North and South islands and with family, community involvement, fishing and travel their full lives are very full. They have been quest speakers helping mentor people to create change in their lives drawing on lessons learnt by them brought about by health issues and growing their business. They both have been in representative roles at a national level being at the forefront of positive change in the Agri sector. Peter has been a student of OrthoBionomy for over 15 years with client numbers now in the thousands, he enjoys helping people out with injuries, muscle tension and feeling relaxed, check out his availability for an unwind.
