GUEST HOUSE 1.5 miles to OU CAMPUS

Spacious casita that sleeps 2-4 opens up to a beautiful pool (opened year round but not heated), spa and courtyard area (shared with homeowner.) This paradise retreat tucked away in the beautiful addition of Smoking Oak will make you forget you are in Norman until you discover it's proximity to campus (1.5 miles) Discounted weekly rates apply. Parking spot available. His and her bicycles available for guest use. The casita has one bedroom, one full bathroom, large living room area, kitchenette with microwave, 4 burner stove top, toaster oven, full size fridge, and Keurig coffee maker. Includes pots, pans, blender, and dining essentials. The living room has a Queen sofa Sleeper and is equipped with a large 62" HD TV with full COX cable service, Blu-ray player, and an X-Box original.

If it's an OU game day, we are most likely hosting a before/after gathering out back, come join us! If it's summertime, we will most likely be in the pool. Occasionally neighborhood friends/kids come to swim. This is our home but we are happy to share pool and patio areas with our guests. (2-4 guests max) We do have 2 friendly family dogs, that we let out back. They are usually outside in the backyard when we are home. If we are not home the dogs are inside.

Can assist with what to do, where to eat, where to drink, and how to get around.

We have a very friendly family dog named Piper that will likely greet you if she's in the backyard. She's only out when we are home.

SPRING & FALL are WINDY in OK. This allows leaves to collect quickly in the pool during these seasons. We are prideful of our property and its appearance, but we both work full time and will skim leaves after work in the evenings. This is not a resort and we do not have a pool boy skimming leaves every hour :)

(NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. NO SMOKING anywhere on premise. This is still our home in a quiet neighborhood. Please ask if you are wanting to invite additional family or friends over.)

Great stay close to campus

Cute & friendly

We stayed a couple nights while in town for a volleyball camp. We really enjoyed our time at the cute guest house. Loved the hosts, the hospitality and of course Piper and Keeley.

Perfect getaway!

We were in town to see family. The cabana was in the perfect location for us. The Cabana was clean and had everything we needed! My kids loved the backyard and getting to play with the kids too. We will definitely book here again for our next visit!

Great retreat

We loved the pool and jacuzzi. The guest house was great also. Very clean and comfortable. The shower was nice and so was the furniture. The owners were very communicative and super nice. We enjoyed talking with them. If we are back in the area we would stay there again for sure.

Wonderful OK property

We had a great week in the Cabana. The yard and pool were wonderful, and the owners were very gracious to allow us private access. They also provided helpful suggestions about the surrounding area and were very friendly. My only concern was that there was not a washer/dryer on the property, but that is clear in the listing. If we stayed longer, I would have asked for a refresh on the towels after all the swimming we did. Thank you so much for a great stay!

AMAZING Stay!

We had a really lovely stay here. The guest house is well-appointed with most anything you could need during your stay (even a dishwasher!). We are a family of 4 and the space worked well for my husband and I sleeping in the bedroom and our kiddos sleeping on the pull-out. The outside space is so beautiful and relaxing. Our kids could have stayed busy for days!! Shannon and Katie are incredible hosts, and the fact that they've been doing it for years is apparent. They were so friendly, communicative and accommodating. They made the stay such a pleasure! Thanks for a beautiful vacation, Shannon and Katie!

Great place to call home for a week!

We stayed for a week while visiting family and friends in Norman over thanksgiving. House was clean and as represented in the listing. The owners were nearby in the front house and very friendly but also gave us our space. They left us some delicious cake balls which was a sweet touch, much appreciated by my husband and I and our 4 and 6 year old boys. The pool looked beautiful and would have been nice to come in a warmer week to enjoy. Sadly I do think it was a little small for us with our two boys because they insisted on sleeping in the bed with us instead of the pullout sofa...but the accommodations are definitely there. Highly recommend this casita.

Perfect Getaway!

We enjoyed ourselves immensely during our stay at Shannon and Katie's cabana. They were more than hospitable (to the extent that my allergies kicked in and Katie brought me oil and diffuser to help with my sinuses). They wrote down directions for a beautiful daily, long walk. We were greeted with a box of amazing cookies and a large binder that helped with choices on places to eat. There home was perfect for the 3 of us. For the size, it is so functional (kitchen, common area, etc). The bonus was that they had several beautiful tables with a stunning backyard setting so we took the opportunity to utilize their grill (with their permission) and we sat outside with a bottle of wine and created new friendships (we invited Katie and Shannon to join us). I hope you take advantage of our offer, and come out to Cali very soon you guys!!!! Thank you again so much for everything you did during our stay. You made our trip and amazing experience!

Annual OU Football trip

Me and a few others travel from out of state at least on time a year to watch an OU football game and tailgate at Lloyd Nobel. I always try to get a place close to where we park the bus to tailgate. This place is perfect, and the host are amazing folks. The place is very clean and the OU atmosphere is awesome. This place is perfect for a quick trip to Norman. Highly recommended it. Special thanks to Shannon and Katie for letting us stay at their beautiful guest house.

College World Series

This was the perfect place to stay while we visited Oklahoma for the Women’s College World Series. Our daughter also played in a softball tournament during our stay. The host family was extremely friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and met our needs. The pool and the dogs were a huge bonus!

Beautiful Cabana

This property was beautiful and felt like a very safe place for our young adult children to stay without out. The pool and hot tub were prefect as the pictures. The house was well stocked with essential things you don't even think about till you need it, like aluminum foil, salt, and other little things. Hosts were great, and the family dog was the sweetest.

Perfect for everyone

Great location for my family close to campus to get my kids to and from summer camps. Perfect to have full sized fridge and space for groceries for making lunches. My husband worked from home during day no issues. Pool wonderful option for kids and shaded areas for hot Oklahoma summer. Thank you!

Perfect little cabana

My daughter and I stayed here when she was at the OU girls Bball camp. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Quiet, safe neighborhood, close to campus, close to great food options. Hosts were nice and had great communication. Their dog came to say hello. :) Hotel pricing was similar and it was so nice to have our own space.
