Serene Getaway on the Delaware River and Delaware Canal, a birder's delight!
110-year-old sculptor's summer home. Right in the center of everything Bucks County has to offer. Decorated in serene, comfortable, charming decor. You will feel like you are on a retreat! Air conditioning. Bathrooms, with walk-in pebble showers. Full kitchen. Original hardwood floors. Massive granite back deck facing Delaware River with Adirondack chairs to relax in at a fire pit! Beautifully appointed. "Glamping" at its best!
The owner lives next door and the guest house is on the next property over. You have access to enjoy the yard. The canal w/dock runs along the back of the property.

Many great local restaurants. Close proximity to New Hope/Lambertville. Gorgeous drive upriver to Peddler's Village and wineries. Great gravel trails along the canal. Bikers can access both the PA and NJ sides for trails. River bridge loops make for great "PA-to-NJ" biking. A beautiful stone deck to enjoy nature and bird migration!
Local river outfitters upriver for water sports. Landing nearby for boat access.
Close electric bike rentals too!

College Graduation Trip

We enjoyed our stay at the waterfront guesthouse for our daughter’s college graduation weekend. Judy was there to greet us when we arrived and answer our questions. The home is very cozy and was the perfect size for our family of 6. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Spot

Nice cozy cottage with great views. Excellent host and nice location. You’ll have everything you will need for a Bucks County get away, no matter the time of year. Young children will love the collection of toys!

Love this Property!!

After staying a few times already, it feels like home away from home. Absolutely perfect for us. All the amenities are on hand that will make your visit very enjoyable. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We hope to stay at this location many more times over the next year when visiting family and conducting business.

Great location

Our stay was perfect. We were traveling to Sesame Place with our children and grandson. The accommodations were great and conveniently located to Sesame Place, many restaurants and shops. The house had a wonderful rustic vibe with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy!

Perfect Autumn Retreat

Cabin-in-the-woods tranquility, easy access to all Bucks County and Lambertville attractions. Comfortable well maintained house and grounds. We especially enjoyed walking north on Delaware Canal towpath, great wildlife!

Wonderful getaway!

Comfortable & very clean, Judy provided everything we needed for a relaxing girls' getaway. We loved sitting around the fire pit & the views of the canal & river. Easy drive to Grounds for Sculpture, New Hope, Lambertville & Princeton. We would definitely book this charming, rustic retreat again!

Relaxing on the River

The river was the backdrop with beautiful views from the lovely outside deck and inside the house. The house was warm and welcoming, spacious and well stocked - even toys, crib snd high chair. Lots of extras- seltzer and water, marshmallows and popcorn! The beds were very comfortable , bathrooms large and well designed. Easy to travel by the river to New Hope and Grounds for Sculpture...the canal walk right out back is wonderful. The beds were very comfortable

Peaceful Cabin Weekend

Enjoyed this home once you embrace the Adirondack cabin life. Age of the home contributes to its charm but also its eccentricities. Well equipped.

Perfect setting

The property was perfect for our girls trip. The setting is beautiful and we especially loved sitting on the back patio, enjoying the view and watching the birds. The house was clean, cozy and thoughtfully decorated. Note that the bedrooms and bathrooms are all upstairs, so not for people with mobility issues. Judy is a gracious host and we’d recommend this home for a relaxing vacation.

Great family vacation!

Our family of 5 stayed at the guesthouse as we live overseas and were in town to visit family in the area. The stay was outstanding! Judith and Andreas were fantastic hosts, the home had everything we needed and more; they were willing to go above and beyond to improve our stay and catered to our specific needs (2 small children and an infant). The house had plenty of room, great views and very private location. Highly recommend this property , nothing comes close to it in the area. We’ve stayed at many vacation rentals throughout the country and this one is at the top of the list, can’t be missed!

Peaceful

Judy is a very attentive and thoughtful host who responded to everything promptly. The home is warm, cozy and restful and was the perfect place for a small, family, holiday gathering. We enjoyed New Hope and Lambertville and had a wonderful lunch at the Lambertville Station Restaurant. We also enjoyed a walk along the canal and seeing the resident eagles and other birds.

Bucks County Retreat

The house was comfortable, and relaxing with amazing river views from the stone terrace. You want to cuddle up and read a book or enjoy nature doing it’s thing. If you enjoy exploring…it’s accessible to everything Bucks County. We walked the canal, toured stone houses and spent time in New Hope, Yardley, Stockton and Princeton. Great restaurants close by, and a special treat was the Garden for Sculpture. We loved Judy our host, very accommodating, welcoming and responsive.

Perfect Weekend

My wife and I (and our dog) stayed here for a weekend. Judy met us upon arrival with some short instructions on the house and presented us with a detailed notebook about the house and nearby area. Extremely nice person who loves dogs! House was tucked away in a wooded, hillside area. Back deck looked over the Delaware River with Trenton in the background. Close to New Hope and other wonderful small towns. Take your dog and go there, you won't regret it!!!!!!

Just beautiful

Came here with family for a long weekend. The house was clean, warm and well stocked. The deck in particular was amazing - just so relaxing. It was raining / overcast for our entire stay but I was still mesmerized. I can only imagine how nice it is in the summer. Judy is really communicative and accommodating, though we didn't anything from her during the trip. Would definitely recommend this house.

Lovely, secluded 1910 house tucked off the road in a beautiful old neighborhood, great for long walks or runs.All modern conveniences (kitchen/bath) while maintaining original architectural features throughout. Warm, fuzzy feel to the home--a place where you would willingly waste time and be happy about it. Spacious back patio shaded by hundred-year-old trees overlooking the canal & river, and lots of non-threatening wildlife. Our host anticipated and prepared for every comfort for her guests, lots of personal touches right down to the reading glasses on the shelf in the bookcase!Easy check-in, great Wi-Fi. Our host lives next door and offered a gracious welcome, complete privacy during our stay, and said to call if there was anything we needed.This review asks for an estimate of appropriate ages for guests. My sisters and I are older with bad knees and limited stamina. The staircase in the house was short and manageable. The stone steps to the front door were high and challenging, but also managable. The stairs to the back porch/door were easier, normal height steps. About children: My adventuresome daughter would have needed constant supervision on the grounds with the appeal of rock-climbing on huge boulder-sized outcroppings, walking ON the wall at the edge of the patio (steep drop on other side) and playing near or even IN the canal. But I didn't have any of these concerns because I'm 68! I loved staying in this house. What a beautiful area.

House was beautifully decorated, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Overall very comfortable stay. We had a view of the river, but also a little bit of traffic noise, but that did not detract too much from the peaceful experience. I would recommend this cozy house!

Outstanding! Great host, great atmosphere, well equipped kitchen. The patio overlooking the yard and canal was a highlight. We all stayed outside and had coffee, snacks, and cocktails. We were almost late for the wedding we were attending.

Very nice old house in a pretty location. A little creaky. Bathrooms were good. A little dark inside due to lots of nearby trees. Back deck was great! Hostess was great.

Charming historic cottage

Many other reviewers have pointed out the many qualities of this listing. It is like taking a little step back in time with all the convenience of modern day living. We enjoyed making breakfast while listening to the "wireless" radio. Living plants in the cottage makes this feel like home and not just another sterile rental.

Really cool spot - overlooking the river, lights from across the water such a dichotomy from the eclectic, lodge, woodland home. Stocked for whatever you wish. Charming. And the kids twin room is super thoughtful. Spent two nights.
