Great location on Mission Beach

This home was in a great location, steps for the beach for easy access with little kids. Plenty of space for a group of friends. The host was easy to reach and responded quickly to questions or concerns.

Beautiful place!

I came here with four other guys for a bachelor party weekend. The place was great and we had a good time. The location is very close to the beach, about a 2-3 minute walk. It was also within walking distance to a lot of food options, bars and a grocery store. If you want to be close to everything and have a large group, this is the place to go. There are three showers and we never ran out of hot water. Carolyn is great at communicating and everything was as she said it would be. When we come back to San Diego I will definitely check to see if this place is available first!

Another summer in Mission

We have been coming to Mission now for 7 straight summers, first time at this particular beach house. Great house, all the amenities anyone would need. Only reason for the over all 4 is the mattress need an upgrade. All are pretty worn out. Other than that would recommend a great house for family and friends.

Terrible vrbo - property did not align to its listing

Would not ever recommend this property. Sheets dirty and stained and bed spreads in multiple rooms, futon bed frame broken in half, walls dirty, walls and furniture had holes, windows would not open in Master. Accordion windows on kitchen level were broken and were told at checkin instead of prior. So they couldn’t be opened. Reported all to the host with pictures on day of arrival. Called vrbo to report. Vrbo did nothing but contact the host and closed the case. The host basically said that they can extend our checkout time in the last day to whenever but we didn’t accept that as compensation for the inconveniences as we wanted a refund to stay elsewhere. The host didn’t extend our time in the property. The pictures in listing are better than what you really get. Location was great but this property needs updating. I would not recommend staying here as there are better places to rent than this property. I would not go through vrbo again either.

Great Summer Family Vacation Home

Loved the Master Room! Balconies were perfect for retreating for quiet time and work. Master closet is big enough to put an air mattress for the youngest one in our group. Loved the Rain Shower Head and the relaxing soak in the tub. Air conditioning in the Master and the living rooms made our stay so much more comfortable when the windows were closed. Open windows were refreshing for the cool fresh air too. So nice to have 3 parking spaces since we had a family of 9 or 10. No need to worry and look for parking when arriving and returning from day trips to hikes at Torrey Pines and Cabrillo National Monument Park, visiting college campuses, Stone Brewery Tour, shopping, visiting friends and picking up dinners / snacks. Plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out together or in separate rooms. Having three bathrooms was great for our big group. Perfect location, block away from both Mission beach and Mission Bay, with so many restaurants and Happy Hours within walking distance. Kids pumped up the tires and went biking along paths by beach and bay. Extra towels came in handy and the shower outside was great for rinsing off sand from being tracked in all over house. Kayaking on the bay was fun.Volleyball court was more available on Bay side too. Kitchen had everything we needed, though we only cooked breakfast food and warmed up leftovers. The BBQ grill was available but was not used because there were so many good restaurants: Phil's BBQ( order take out and skip the long lines) Single Fin Surf and Grill, The Mission, Pacific Beach Fish Shop, Lolitas, Puesto in La Jolla, etc. Owner Carolyn and Handyman Erik quickly responded to our needs. Internet and clothes washer problems were resolved. Home and surrounding area were clean and felt safe to walk around, run, and nap on the beach. Definitely would recommend and rent this property again.

Overall the property was good. Location is fantastic, close to the beach and restaurants and bars. Rooms were a little odd so it makes 4 bedrooms hard to see but overall it worked. AC in some rooms and not in other but overall comfortable. Nice outdoor area and parking.

Fantastic Property Manager, Great Location

The property owners are the most responsive and kind that I have ever interacted with at a VRBO - truly exceptional. The house is large (3 full bathrooms!) and has a great outdoor area with an excellent grill and fire pit. The location is great - just 2 blocks to the beach! - and near lots of amenities/ restaurants/ grocery stores, etc. The kitchen is very well stocked for actual cooking - which was much appreciated for our holiday meals. The primary suite is huge and very nice, as are the beds in the primary suite and the Marilyn room. And, there is a lot of parking!Unfortunately, the views are only of other properties - which are very nearby and not very attractive. The third bedroom has a futon and doubles as a dining area - convenient, but not the most comfortable. The bunk beds in the kids' room are a little rickety and noisy (curtains in that room would also be great, in addition to the blinds). The floors throughout are rough stone - common in this area - but more area rugs would have been great. Overall, I would recommend this for the space and the location - and the lovely hosts.

Perfect location beach home

Fantastic holiday home in a prime location next to the beach. The house was extremely clean and had some great quirks. The host was extremely helpful and responsive with an easy check in service making the process stress free. Would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be looking to stay again when next visiting the area.
