A high standard room also with exposed beams and stone walls, for 2 to 4 people. It has a large bed, a dining area, a kitchen and a bathroom. It is equipped with Wifi, television, DVD player, CD player/bluetooth/radio.

Your holidays are important times of the year. Our mission is to provide you with an extraordinary experience of wonder, outside of your everyday life to create joyful and pleasant memories.
HENRI & HENRIETTE are our favorites and we love sharing them with those who appreciate their historic and unique character.
In 2017, we fell in love with this accommodation. The renovation lasted more than a year until the end of 2018 to bring these old walls back to life and equip it with modern comforts. We named the two rooms HENRI after Henry IV, King of France and HENRIETTE, after his daughter Henrietta, Queen of England, who found asylum in this same street. They are therefore contemporary in this house built in 1602 on older ruins.
We hope that your stay will remain in your memory!

About the host
Hosted by Danièle de Lutzel

We are a French-German couple with deep family roots in this old French town. After many years spent in Germany and in Paris, we decided to move back and make this city our home . I'm an ethnologist, textile artist and economist.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with these apartments with a majestic view within the old walls of the historic city. We bought them and painstakingly worked in renovating this place to revive its historical value while introducing modern creature comforts. We want to give all our guests an experience of not just visiting another pretty city in France but also travel through time in history. We have named our apartments Henri and Henrietta, after Henri IV, king of France and his daughter Henriette, queen of England, who had found refuge on this street where the apartment stands today. Both were contemporaries of the time when this house was built in 1602. We hope that you will have a memorable stay.
What makes this property unique
The reason we bought this place wasn't very rational, from an investment point of view it was even illogical. Both of us love the ancient and this house was love at first sight. The view was so unique I felt like getting an easel and start painting right away! The staircase smelt of incense and I've since tried to find the reason without success. Rumor has it that there was a candle and incense shop and production site on the ground floor that catered for the cathedral. There are also sayings of a tunnel to the cathedral. The bishop in the middle ages probably had his palace on these grounds. It was destroyed in 1286 and nobody knows for sure. All that is left are the legends people tell...
