This beautiful house around nature is located in Ciudad Colón. Has three Bedroom; the first with a King-size bed, wardrobes and his own bathroom, the second with 2 individual beds and 1 wardrobe too, the third with a double bed, desk, huge living room, Wood kitchen Cabinets, and Balcony.

All equipped with furniture, electronic accessories, and Full Services (Water, Electricity, TV Cable, Internet, gas BBQ).

Guests have private access with a Door Lock to the Entire Second Floor House, backyard, and Gas BBQ area are also available from here you can watch the sunset and relax in the Balcony Chairs.

The house is old and needs lots of up keep. Walls are cracked and flaking. No hot water to bathroom sinks and maintaining a constant water temperature in the shower is impossible. There is no hot tub, the reference is to a bathtub, a language problem. Also, lighting in the bathroom is very bad. Push on lights were placed over the stove to give better light there as the kitchen is also dark. Walking into town takes about 10 mins and is an easy and nice walk. People very friendly. Dogs in the neighborhood bark a lot snd roosters crow at all hours. We did enjoy our stay. Bus service to San Jose is easy and cheap and a better way to go than driving oneself. The manager in the office below is exceptionally helpful.

Wonderful stay in Cuidad Colon

We stayed here for almost a week (family with one younger child). The house was as described and as it appears in pictures. The great room has fantastic high ceilings and the widows and sliding doors allowed for cooling breezes (we never turned on the A/C). There are views of the volcanoes and surrounding mountains from the patio and living room windows. We didn't do a lot of cooking but the kitchen had everything one might need. The property manager was was super responsive to any questions/emails. The location is walking distance to town but off any main roads so you don't get traffic driving by. The only con was the rooster next door that liked to crow at odd hours of the night but after the first night we got use to it. We would definitely stay here again.

Could not be more positive about my hosts and Ciudad Colon

You have the whole upper floor, all three pleasant bedrooms, and downstairs there is a very quiet online business. The concierge, Diana, went out of her way so far for me I bought her flowers and took her to dinner. Someone is always there during the daytime, and at night there is the guard in his kiosk at the bottom of the driveway. I felt no threat whatever. My dog was welcomed. The neighbourhood is a leafy suburb of this small city and it's a 10-minute walk to "downtown." I often walked with my dog in the evenings, even downtown. Taxi ride is less than an American dollar. There is everything you need in Ciudad Colon. Maybe not everything you want. And for an old lady gringa, no evening entertainment. There was TV and a nice backyard to sit out in and watch the sunset, and the balcony as well. Restaurants were good. Ah, the fruit. There was a mango tree in the front courtyard, orange tree is the backyard. No car necessary. Taxis are plentiful. Buses to. I didn't take buses because they don't allow dogs on buses. This is true all over Latin America. Dogs bark, the rooster crows long before dawn. I did not get used to it, but that's not the host's fault. Glad I had ear plugs and my white sound machine. I could not speak more positively of the hosts about my 2-month stay. Anything that went wrong was fixed. You will be treated like royalty.

My wife Sarah and I, spend many weekends here, with our three kids, and friends.

My favorite part of Costa Rica is Ciudad Colon which I discovered when I rented one of the homes that I currently own. This occurred a few years ago. Up to now, I have acquired another 3 more homes in the same neighborhood. That’s how much I love the place Naturally, I love to travel and see different places, study their culture and spend time with the people I encounter.

Besides traveling, I also enjoy hiking, running, and any type of fitness really. If you are into similar things and like to spend time in a natural setting, you will love everything Costa Rica has to offer. Some of the best national parks, hiking trails, and untouched beaches are just minutes away.

I’d love to share my best running/hiking areas with you.
