Gorgeous 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with large veranda overlooking the ocean. The home is newly-renovated with beautiful tile throughout and solid hardwood detailing. Open-concept kitchen with large, well-lit windows and beautiful granite countertops. Kitchen has built-in breakfast area. Master bedroom has ensuite with full walk-in shower. Master bedroom also has solid hardwood built-in closets. Second bedroom has large solid hardwood closets. Second bathroom has jacuzzi tub. Sunny living room leads into a 1000 sq ft (100 m2) veranda and is connected to a formal dining area. Central air-conditionging and heat installed throughout apartment! Rental also comes with 1 over-sized garage space. The condo has a large swimming pool and plenty of space for lounging and sun-bathing. This is the perfect place for your next getaway!

Summer holiday

Lovely apartment, lovely terrace, easy communication, location perfect with many bars and restaurants very close and a pingo doce just down the hill (5 mins). Highly recommended.

Fantastic front line apartment.

Great booking experience with owner, John, who telephoned twice to confirm details and emailed information. Greeted at the apartment by Peter, the manager, who was informative and helpful; we received a detailed tour of the apartment and surrounding area and advice about cheapest car hire, recommended restaurants and taxi/tours. We had his telephone number in case we needed anything and saw this very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful man several times during our 2 week stay. The apartment is handy for everything; 3 minutes walk to the lido; 5 min walk to the main lido which is cheaper at 5 euros each (1e80 child); 2 small supermarkets within a 3 min walk and a large supermarket (fantastic choice of quality fresh meat and fish) 5 minutes walk away. Took us 20 mins to walk to Funchal port and a return Taxi was between 5 and 8 euros. Good choice of bars and restaurants within the immediate vicinity. Recommend the Chinese, China Town and the Italian restaurant, Tricolore and a must is the ice cream at the top of the hill to the supermarket. The view from the huge balcony is fantastic; directly over the large pool and panoramic sea views plus a canopy for shade and privacy. The pool is very peaceful and we were generally the only ones in it. The apartment has everything needed (and more) including dishwasher, washer, tumble dryer and BBQ. Strangely the only thing I noticed missing (on arrival!) was a kettle although there was a coffee machine, teapot and many other gadgets. Needing my cups of tea a kettle was purchased within the hour and I have left it there for all future tea lovers. The pictures and commentary on this website do not do this apartment justice. The lack of pictures of the bedrooms did concern us but there was no need to worry as both rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and plenty of storage and they both lead to another small balcony that overlooks the back. All windows and patio doors have mosquito nets which are useful at night but to be honest, I saw very few mosquitoes or flies. Both bathrooms, which looked new, were modern, reasonable sized and had a constant supply of steaming hot water with lovely powerful showers. TV’s in kitchen, lounge and one bedroom and very speedy Internet. Air con throughout and individually controlled in each room. Sofa bed in lounge. Everything required for a perfect holiday in a very beautiful country. We’ve tried but really can't think of any negatives! Thank you, John and Peter.
