Beautiful Property!
The house had so much space for our group of 12. The accommodations were excellent. We found everything we needed throughout the property, very well organized! All of the guests slept wonderfully, enjoyed the hike up over the property and the creek, beautiful unobstructed starry nights. We loved being out of town for some peace and quiet. Joy was excellent at communicating with us.

Amazing House!
We loved the Big Lost Creek Lodge! It was perfect for our family. We were in Kalispell for the sad reason of my mother’s celebration of life. My husband and I and our three adult sons and their spouses stayed in the house. The Lodge is HUGE with multiple large bedrooms. The kitchen is amazingly large as well. All instructions were all clear and communication was very prompt and friendly. We will definitely stay here again!

Kalispell Winter Family Reunion
Great place / location. One minor issue was no central heat but had ample fire places / stoves for warmth. Overall, great stay.

About the host

Hosted by Joy Bartel

Host profile image
Curtis and Joy Bartel honeymooned in the Flathead Valley 25 years ago, and left with a permanent love of Montana's beauty. A decade later, they realized their dream of living there full-time, when they purchased 20 acres with a creek. Big Lost Creek Lodge was lovingly built over 15 years, while they raised their family. Curtis and Joy currently own a glass shop in downtown Kalispell, and reside nearby. It is their wish to share Big Lost Creek Lodge with others until their future retirement.

Why they chose this property

Big Lost Creek Lodge has a pristine, fast moving creek with brook trout throughout. The property also has a unique cliff which can be seen from the Master Bedroom balcony or on the front porch. The cliff is located on the property itself, where a hiking trail will lead to the top lookout area in order to take in spectacular views of the valley, Whitefish Mountain Resort, and Glacier National Park.
