The Train bears rustic signs of its past life as an authentic railway carriage, from the concave ceiling to the instantly recognisable shape of the front door. In addition to the carriage itself, guests will find a small area covered by a verandah outside, as well as a patio with seating arrangements.
Indoors, the cosy bedroom is joined with the sitting room. Dark, hardwood floors are complemented by white walls and a rustic wooden ceiling. The bed is dressed in high quality, fashionable linens, flanked by light fixtures. Two plush chairs face towards the TV, and a window behind them fills the space with natural light. The adjoining en-suite offers all the necessary amenities in a similarly sophisticated style.
The home’s full kitchen is illuminated by natural light. It has the basic, high quality appliances guests will need and is easy on the eyes with its homely wooden cabinets and striking white tile splash-back. Fully insulated with split system heating and cooling, The Train will keep guests comfortable in whatever weather.

Murder on the Stationary Express
No one died and it was a charming place to stay. Just a short walk to town and with the Wombat Gardens just up the hill it was a really lovely place for a short get away. Not a lot of space though so good for an intimate weekend.

The Train Daylesford - Get On Board
The Train was an absolute gem to stay in. Everything you could possibly want in a little getaway. Walking distance from the main street or Lake Daylesford. The Train was very comfortable with a nice bed, great shower and sitting area out the back with a heater and lighting to enjoy a meal. The bluetooth radio is something else and just added to the authentic feel of a train carriage from the 1800's.
