George Lancaster purchased this House in 1988
Why George Lancaster chose Blackheath
This property has been in my wife's family's hands since 1988. When her parents passed several years ago we became the permanent owners. It is our go-to place to get away from it all, unwind, and enjoy long hikes in the Blue Mountains.
What makes this House unique
Less than two hours from Sydney and it's like you're on a different planet. Nestled amongst towering eucalypts, the acre of property ensures quiet and calm. On a cold night the wood stove is the perfect antidote, creating a cosy atmosphere you won't want to leave. But you will, as the house is 200 metres from the start of Popes Glen track, your gateway to the escarpment and beyond. And you can walk to Blackheath village in less than 15 minutes. Once arriving, you may not need to drive again until it's time to go home!
100% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if cancelled at least 14 days before arrival date.
Blackheath is the epicentre of the Blue Mountains experience. Small village is friendly, small, but has everything you need, even a veterinary and health foods store. Easy access to a multitude of bush walks, on many of which you will not see another soul. Our house is easily walkable from the village center, as is the Popes Glen track which gets you to the escarpment and beyond - once you arrive, you won't need to use your car again until you depart!
