Set in the heart of the World Heritage Blue Mountains, Kanimbla View Clifftop Retreat is a breathtaking 12 acre ecotourism retreat with spectacular views of the Kanimbla Valley. Located on the Shipley Plateau at Blackheath, just two hours by car or train from Sydney, Kanimbla View offers the perfect getaway for couples, families and groups, and is the ideal base from which to visit the many attractions and activities in the Blue Mountains.
Valley Cottage can accommodate up to 7 persons in three bedrooms.
Architect-designed and built with recycled materials Valley Cottage is split-level with living area, kitchen/dining, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The cottage has a wood burning fire and gas heater and is on solar power. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with gas oven, fridge and microwave. A radio with ipod station and games including scrabble and monopoly are provided. Outdoors there is terrace with dining table and gas BBQ in a bush setting.
All linen including towels is supplied, along with ground coffee, tea and milk.
Beyond the cottage, Kanimbla View's other delights await you – the tennis court, table tennis, petanque pitch, a kilometre of walking tracks and, not least, those magical cliff tops.

Perfect eco getaway close to Sydney

Peaceful weekend spent here amongst the trees, feeling as though you are miles from anywhere. Spectacular views from the walks round the property. Valley Cottage had everything you could possibly need and is cosy and comfortable. Nigel and Tony the perfect hosts. We will be back!

Perfect bush retreat for a weekend away

We took the Valley and Banksia cottages for a long weekend of bushwalking and exploring in the Blue Mountains. The cottages were super comfortable and well appointed with great wood burners to keep warm in winter months. Great location for access to both Leura/Katoomba and Jenolan Caves as well as being well away from the tourist throng. The property is peaceful and beautiful and Nigel was a most delightful and helpful host.
