Great place, right on the water & looking out towards Little Dauphin Island. We ate meals on the deck every day, watching & listening to so many different birds & getting glimpses of dolphins most days. The property was pet-friendly & was a great space for the dogs to enjoy vacation with us.

Good stay. Great view. Cleaning crew was prob in hurry, because they did not get a lot of dog hair from previous people. Easy sweep up. Had one issue and the owner was quick to handle in person. Plan on staying there again. Great neighborhood and quiet. Fun fishing off deck

Okay, won’t be staying again!

First of all I will say this is a duplex. Using of the kayaks, crab traps and back dock is contingent on who gets there first-our neighbors liked to be out there first thing in the morning until 11 pm! They only left to go to beach midday. The home definitely needs updating. Rusty fixtures, peeling up flooring and VERY thin walls! Feels like you are on a boat cause the house “moves” when people are walking around or the wind blows. Advertised that it is pet friendly, paid for it and then the contract I had to sign said dogs only! Had to end up boarding my cats for the 5 nights stay! It is stated everywhere “No Refunds” so I was out the extra pet/dog only charge! The check in/out times are also different in the signed contract-check out is 10 am and check in at 3 pm. Priced way to high, IMO, could stay at the hotel for half the price and just as nice. Very obvious pets have been present here-hair present on the furniture. It was a good location-we came to fish and relax. Very quiet neighborhood. Wish we could’ve booked both sides so we could have used the amenities the entire duration of our stay instead of just the first 2 days:(

Melissa, You used the Auto Book feature of the website. You never complained to me about ANYTHING. It is hard for me to address any issue if I don't know about it. You paid no pet fee. No one ever discussed Cats or Dogs with you either. I was told the Motel was $150 per night. You paid $200. There is 112' of water frontage - plenty of room for two families to enjoy the water activities. Most homes only have 50' of water. There has never been anyone complain about having free use of crab traps or Kayaks or Hammocks or Grills or Chairs... I bought the property six months ago and made major improvements. I intend to make more improvements this fall after the rental season slows down. Sounds like you would be happier at the Motel.

Perfect week on the island

We stayed for a week with our two pups and this property was just perfect for us. It wasn't overly fancy, but it was clean and functional, which is what we needed in a beach house. The view off the deck was fabulous and we were walking distance to many of the stores and restaurants (and all the island's 5 or 6 churches, which are curiously all located in the same 2-square block area). At one point, the internet went down and we called Mr. Reeves for assistance, and he took care of it within minutes. Just one thing to be aware of....the unit is a duplex and there are 2 connecting doors to the other unit. While it never bothered us, we could hear a lot of what was going on in the other unit and certainly they heard us. If you're looking for something super quiet and private, this probably isn't the right spot. But if you're looking for good value in a dog-friendly waterfront beach house, book this place!

Fisherman’s dream

Perfect place to stay. We were able to dock our boat for easy access when we were ready to fish. The grand babies enjoyed checking the crab traps. The owner John Reeves is a great person to rent from. He response to you very quickly if you have a question or problem. I would recommend this place for any family wanting to just relax, fish, or just enjoy being near the water. IT’S BEAUTIFUL!

Not so near the beach.

Property was clean but in serious need of updating. I apparently misunderstood description and pictures in that I thought the beach was nearby. Almost all fish caught in the bay behind the house were hardhead cat fish.

Quiet Bay waters offer great kayaking,crabbing and fishing. Birding, boating, Manatees and never know what you will see. House sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac facing outward towards the water. Breathtaking views!
