3. Kayaks. CrystalKayak rents “crystal clear” kayaks on Sosua Beach.

4. Stand Up Paddle Boards. Rented by Eric Tours on the access street to Sosua Beach. Instruction available.

1. Ocean World Marine Park in Puerto Plata has great shows, and you can also swim with dolphins or hold a 7-foot shark on your lap

2. Cable car to top of Mount Isabel de Torres in Puerto Plata. Great views from the top.

3. Fun City Action Park. Go-Kart tracks of varying difficulty.

4. Playa Dorada Golf Course. 18 holes

EXCURSIONS: Local tour operators offer a wide variety of excursions, including whale watching, deep sea fishing, white water rafting, mountain biking, and a a jeep safari that includes a 28 level waterfall where you can climb up the last 8 cascades.

AIRPORTS: The closest is Puerto Plata (POP) but Santiago (STI) is an option. Taxis can be arranged in advance for both.

Great little spot. The pool was empty, so able to relax. The location is a block away from everything but away from the noise. It's a little dated, but everything worked great and was clean and comfortable. I would gladly stay at this spot and unit again.

Great location. Quiet and relaxing.

Second time I stayed here in few months. It’s a nice place. It needs updating and some tlc. But perfect weekend getaway for the price. Spare bedroom bed could use a topper. Pool is clean and quiet. Two blocks from beach and town. Will stay there again.

Why they chose this property

We are located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood only 5 minute walk from Sosua Beach and the town. Hard to believe we are so close to all the activity in Sosua yet be so separated with respect to sight and sound.

What makes this property unique

You can do so much without need of a car or a taxi. Only a few minutes walk away are 2 beaches, a gym, casino, restaurants and bars, museum, art gallery, scuba and snorkeling, sailing a Top Cat catamaran, paddling in Sosua Bay in a crystal clear kayak that lets you see what is below, sport bars, pharmacies and supermarkets.
